This is the loudest library that I have ever experienced in 50 years of living. There is no respect for persons who are engaging in activities that require quiet and focus. If you have to do anything work related or studying for a exams, do not come here.
This library is too loud. This is just ridiculous. The library definitely should regulate how loud people are because guess what? It is a library and so of us came here to get work done and not be in a loud environment.
This library has zero activities for younger children. There is no kids' zone or play area--only a space with two toys for the entire library. The head librarian claimed there was no money or space for a kids' zone. Very disappointing--other libraries are far superior.
FM library, Baxter location, has really been upping their game! Look at that brand new touch screen book hold locker! This will allow people who desire, to pick up their books on hold, before and after library hours! Employees are always very friendly, and helpful. The new renovations have really cleaned the place up and made it even nicer! My only complaint, is that I wish they would have a bigger Christian book section. Books are not clearly labeled with stickers that allow readers to see what type of book specifically they might be trying to check out ie: Christian fiction, etc.
The loudest library ever. Came here to study but left after 20 minutes. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend.
Love the place. Librarians here as in most of the libraries are polite, knowledgeable and kind. Has a decent collection of books and since this is part of SCLends system, it also provides option of requesting books from all other libraries that are part of this system across SC. They also have a off-hours hold and pickup lockers which is an awesome idea.
Lots of books for children, and things for a 2 year old to play with
There's a printer for you to print your files and documents for ten cents a copy. Very convenient.
This is the loudest library I’ve ever been to. The staff is loud, the cell phones are constantly digging, and the place may as well be a romper room with kids running around loudly and uncontrollably. There are few places to escape to that are quiet, and libraries are supposed to be just that. I have a huge medical exam Monday, and had to leave after 30 minutes because I couldn’t concentrate.
I’m glad the “library” is there. However, library is probably not the most accurate way of describing this place. I would consider it a media center with a focus on lending books. This place is so loud. It is very difficult to study here. The staff talks at full volume with patrons. Patrons and staff laugh loudly. Behind the circulation desk cabinets, and drawers are being slammed. There is no whispering or shushing, to create a quiet environment. It is really hard to study or do homework because of all the distractions. I wish there was a place to go for quiet studying. I do appreciate the access to books. Ordering books is easy online and to pick up.
