Fort Wayne Community Schools is the premier school district in Northeast Indiana, serving nearly 30,000 students in 50 school buildings. FWCS is a school district of choice with seven magent programs, including Montessori, math and science, arts and communication, and other specialty programs. Each of our high schools offers specialized programs such as New Tech Academy at Wayne, International Baccalaureate at South Side, Global Studies at North Side and Project Lead the Way at Northrop (engineering) and Snider (biomedical).
FWCS is the largest district in Indiana and has been recognized as a progressive school system committed to academic excellence with a diverse student population. Our students come from around the world and speak 75 different languages. For several years, FWCS has exceeded the state's graduation rate and continuously strives to ensure students graduate prepared for life after high school, whether a student plans to go to college, into the military or into the workforce.
