We are a well established and family owned veterinary clinic. We have provided quality service at reasonable prices since 1969.

Description

Our mission is to provide your special family pets with excellent care at reasonable prices. At Fort Wayne Pet Hospital we’ll give you and your pets the attention and personal service you’ll come to expect and enjoy. Pets are an extension of the family and deserve to be handled with caring, quality staff who are committed to providing services that will meet your families needs.

Dr. Lynn Martin started the Fort Wayne Pet Hospital in 1969. His son, Dr. Marcus, joined the practice in 2001. Dr. Seth, the newest addition, joined in 2013. We are a full service veterinary clinic. Our services include annual wellness exams, vaccinations, in house lab work, digital radiographs (x-rays), routine and complex surgeries, and much more. Let us put our experience to work for you. We look forward to meeting you and your 4-legged family members!

Last September my boyfriend and I took our boxer Athena here to get her ears cropped. We were both very nervous since this was the first time ever having this procedure done but as soon as Dr. Serena came in and started to explain the process to us and what to expect we immediately knew our dog was in good hands. We always get compliments on her ears. We will gladly drive 6 hours we are from Ohio in the future to have Dr. Serena cropp our dog's ears. She is amazing!!
We had to schedule an emergency appointment for our dog when we noticed very early in the morning she was experiencing pain. From the moment she was brought in we experienced nothing but excellent care and attention to our dog and just in a day or so after bringing her home she was getting back to her usual self. She usually goes through a lot of stress and anxiety with vet appointments, but they were absolutely wonderful with her and made the process incredibly smooth and as relaxing for her as they could. Cannot recommend Fort Wayne Pet Hospital enough! Thank you!!
My cat had been sick off and on for 2 weeks. She goes through this from time to time.They worked me in. I took her in and Dr. Martin looked at her. We decided to do labs. It was a 20 minute wait for results. Dr. Martin went over all of them with me. He ordered a B vitamin shot, a DEPO shot and a subcutaneous hydration. That did the trick. She is feeling much better now. My cat can be a handful to work with. She always growling and hissing and ready to bite. Dr Martin and all the techs are good with her, trying to keep her calm while working on her. I have had several pets over the years and I always take them there.
To whomever owns or runs this place i appreciate the care you took when we had to put down our pet but when i came in today to all the workers up front chatting about nothing related to work and i had to sit there and wait till they were finished before they would help me to pick up my pets ashes and then hand them to me like i was an inconvenience to them was what i had a problem with. I dont care if they want to talk when they dont have customers but when someone is there to pick up ashes they should act like they care or at least fake it.
Dr. Serena is amazing she was able to diagnose my kitty in one visit after spending 6 hours at the emergency hospital. She always shows compassion for her patients. We recently had to send our fur baby to heaven and we were so thankful for her and the care she showed.
Been going here for about 3 years. Used to be good when Dr Seth was there. Not anymore. My girl gets allergy shots, had a bad reaction, took her in, waited in the exam room for 1 1/2 hrs for the vet to come in, only to have her downplay the seriousness!!! Also they charge $20 extra for same day appointments, rip off ! Then my daughter brought her cat in, very ill & dying, the guy at the front desk said take her to Ossian that's where the dead animals go!!!! Not, let us see her, or I'm sorry!!! I have a new vet who is caring, & getting to the root of the problem. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!!!
Killed my dog by giving him too much gas during routing teeth cleaning. Then lied to their malpractice insurance to weasel out of the claim.
Dr.Seth Nahrwold is seriously the best! He truly cares about his patients and pet parents. We had to put our Mini Schnauzer down after several weeks of diagnosis, tests, fluids we tried it all aside from exploritory surgery. He sent out info to former colleagues to see if they had any ideas or input. We gave it our best effort but couldn't see our 10 yr old Jack suffer any longer. His staff and tech's are amazing as well. We have been taking all of our pets to them/ now Dr. Nahrwold for 15+ years. We have another Schnauzer now and had a scare with him at just 2 n he pinpointed the issues and got him all better, he understands our dog's sensitive nature and gives him so much love. I just can't say enough about how wonderful this place is.
Always good with pup, and usually pretty quick! Only place I've ever taken pup, and always good to her!
Been taking care of our doggos since 2005. They have compassionately sent two of our Original Furbabies over the rainbow bridge. The new generation of rescues have been happily coming here ignore the rbf- resting Bassett face 12 paws down!
