Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center

Description

The Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center is an intermodal transit station in Fort Worth, Texas. It serves Trinity Railway Express commuter rail, Amtrak intercity rail, and buses, and it planned to serve the TEX Rail commuter system. It is located at the corner of 9th and Jones Streets, on the east side of downtown Fort Worth. TRE service began on December 3, 2001, serving the Fort Worth Convention Center, the Fort Worth Water Gardens, Sundance Square, Bass Performance Hall and Tarrant County government facilities. Amtrak's Texas Eagle and Heartland Flyer serve the station. The station also serves as the main bus transit hub for the Fort Worth Transportation Authority, as well as Greyhound. In the case of The T, before the ITC's opening, the main downtown transit hub for The T centered around bus lines all converging into a transit mall along the one-way couplet corridor of Houston Street and Throckmorton Street.

Beautiful station with clean restrooms, friendly & helpful staff and ample seating with plenty of space for families & luggage during layovers. It's a good distance to from the Amtrak platforms, so attention to time is imperative for timely boarding and avoiding over exertion in the elderly and children. I believe there is a shuttle for this but did not inquire on the matter. Best part for my family was the Subway restaurant located on the main floor just off of the main lobby ‍ overall, beautiful station with Texas friendly staff and beautiful murals of African-American Texas history.
Rode the Amtrak down from OKC and back up the following day. The first day was great I didn't have to go into the station or anything. The second day was annoying because it felt like security guards were bored. I had to show three different security guards my ticket and move where I was a couple times. I'm in a wheelchair and all I was trying to do was charge my phone. What was okay for one security guard apparently wasn't for the next.
Clean and nice station with lots of waiting space, luggage handling and ok bathrooms.
I am disabled and the train ride was great. The seats were comfortable. The staff was great. A 10 in my book.
First, your security is inadequate, cant understand what language, rude. They let the homeless and panhandlers in, they harassing paying customers, cant find a seat to sit on because is occupied mostly by them. sleeping or sittin on the seats, almost got into a fight, but security was more concern where passengers sit, than resolving the situation, first time here, and not impressed. Dont feel safe here.
My husband and I live in Ardmore Oklahoma but we will take the Amtrak down in the morning to have lunch in Fort Worth at Sundance Square. We will then ride it back in the evening. It’s such an amazing journey! The landscape is breathtaking! There’s also a good amount of artwork at the station. All of the pictures that I am posting are different. Please zoom in for details.
Not enough seating where the buses drop-off/pick-up riders. There is no way to see if a bus will be delayed. Buses will leave a few minutes earlier than the time listed even though riders are making their way to those buses. I guess one or two riders can be enough for a bus to be considered "full" to some drivers.
I didn't disembark from my train, since I was on my way to San Antonio, TX, but the station wasn't crowded and everything looked convenient and available.

My train was stuck here, and it’s just hard for all of us to find the place for food such as subway, KFC, or McDonald’s. There is subway, but that is only one at the station, and it closed that day. then, staying in the stage of hungry. I don’t know why subway closed on that day.
