My first time here, we stopped on a whim to check out. It was quite interesting loved the shops, petting zoo, trail rides, train rides.... So much to see and do! Definitely a trip worth planning for an event or concert. Family oriented or couples getaway.
This was a great stop for my family as we explored Dallas/Fort Worth. The stockyard tour was informative. It was great being able to see the steer before they marched the street. Food was good and there are some great shops as well. For us, half a day was an appropriate amount of time.
1st time here. Recommendations to stop here. Wow, the cattle drive is very impressive, and the history they discussed beforehand is really neat. It did need to be louder. We only got to stop into a couple of stores. A quick trip. Pictures of the area.
Every bit of what Texas should be! Cowboys. Steers. Honky Tonks. Amazing steaks. I just wish we had gotten in to town in time for the rodeo! So glad we got to see the cattle drive. Tons of shops, restaurants, and bars to visit. I love that bars offered drinks to go to enjoy while walking around the streets. The introduction before the cattle drive gave tons of information and history, which I appreciated. Pictures on the back of a steer for $5 was a deal! The closest Parking was $15 plus tax for 12 hours.
You get the old school Texas experience. Lots of bar and steak house around. Fewer vegetarian and vegan options. - Can go to watch the rodeo show while you're there, - watch long horn cows close up near exchange house. - Watch free act right after the parade at the shopping mall near the parking at the end of the road.
Such a amazing experience, if you only have one day in the area this is a must. The tiny shops all nestled in the the building mixed with the decor and the staff make the a must see. Even just walking around the area is such a delight. The shoot out show they put on is comical and Worth watching for any age. I will say the blanks they shoot are loud to I woukd recommend bringing ear protection for the young ones.
I am speechless with my brother and his partner's idea to surprise me with this beautiful ride that I won't be able to forget!!! It was to take the ride on the original train that was the main transport for the citizens in Texas The Cotton Belt Train Excursion is a family-friendly excursion that we started in Downtown Grapevine. We were mesmerized by the theatrical team who enactive a scene from the times when it was a Wild Wild West! We love the team of volunteers with their lovely approach to my niece who was included in playing the part of a passenger! It was a memory we never forget! We will strongly recommend this adventure with all your family and friends
So fun to experience the Wild West and all Fort Worth has to offer. One of the best, most in tact historical districts in NE Texas including their amazing cattle drive keeping the traditions of old Fort Worth alive and well. Thank you for the good experiences and lasting memories!
I love this place, every time that someone comes to visit me, I have to take them to see this amazing place. Love to see the Longhorn 11 am or 4 pm every day, it’s a lot of fun! A lot of nice restaurants and fun for the kids too petting zoo, train rides, pony rides, cookie store...
This was an excellent cultural experience for me. I'm always in awe at historical sites. The cattle parade was my favorite part. Prior to the parade, the head cowboys were out on the strip. I was invited to pet Oliver the horse. I was grateful for that. I guess Mr. Cowboy saw the longing in my eyes, but I didn't want to ask. I visited a couple of shops also. I also visited the museum and was able to see a little bit of African American cowboy history. Everyone that were a part of the stock yard community were so nice. I'm going back again today 2nd consecutive day.
