The Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home is owned by Sharon Curry McKinney, a native of Laurel County, KY, and former employee and co-owner of Laurel Funeral Home in London, KY. She moved to Green County in 1999 when she married Harold Curry, a Green County horse farm owner and trainer and competitor in horse show events.
Sharon commuted to her employment in London until February of 2000 when she and her husband purchased the former Warren F. Toler Funeral Home in Greensburg and re-named it the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home. Harold passed away in August of 2005 and Sharon has continued with the operation of the funeral home with the assistance of Dale Houk and Danielle Jeffries-Lee both licensed embalmers and funeral directors. Her husband Robert McKinney whom she married in 2014 and her staff Jared Kelly, Clifford Pruitt, Jerry Arnett, Maxideen Pruitt, Donna Smith and Arzo Miller.
The funeral home was originally a private residence built in 1819 and occupied by: Pal Joe Taylor and his wife and Bob Moss and his wife. It was purchased by Joe and Louise Foster who operated it as a funeral home. At some point Joe and Peggy Jones became partners and it was known as the Foster-Jones Funeral Home. Poor health caused Joe Foster (who at the time was the sole owner) to sell the funeral home to Warren F. Toler who re-named it the Foster-Toler Funeral Home and then just Warren F. Toler Funeral Home. During his tenure, Warren Toler added a funeral chapel, an extra entry and hallway.
Today the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with an apartment and garage, is a well-known facility in Greensburg with a motto of "People You Trust Caring For People You Love."
