The Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (FAES) is a non-profit organization located at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.
FAES operates a Graduate School that offers evening courses in the biomedical sciences, public health, technology transfer, English as a Second Language (ESL), Spanish, Chinese, MCAT and GRE prep courses, Argentine Tango, and more. Class tuition starts at $160.
Our range of programs also includes a bookstore on the NIH campus, conference management and training services, a social and academic center, NIH fellows housing, health insurance for NIH fellows and contractors. In addition, we sponsor select NIH lecture and seminar series, such as the Wednesday Afternoon Lectures (WALs), concert and music series, and select Office of Intramural Training and Education (OITE) programs and services, such as the Graduate Student Partnership (GPP) Student Lounge.
