Description

Fountain Park is a 144 acre forest preserve on Tinkham Road in Wilbraham, formally the Massachusetts State Game Farm from 1913 to 1984. Following the closing of Pheasant Farm, the buildings and grounds fell into disrepair. A group of local citizens worked for ten years to acquire the property for an ‘in town’ park. Thanks to a donation from Carol A. and Laurence R. Fountain, this huge resource area was purchased from the State for public education, recreation and enjoyment. In September 1992 plans to rename the property Fountain Park were approved and since then it has been managed by the Wilbraham Nature and Cultural Center, Inc. As stated in the Center’s Articles of Incorporation, its overall purpose was “to develop, improve and expand agricultural, nature preservation and recreational opportunities and Town programs for the residents of the Town of Wilbraham.”

Great park with a large open field and lots of trails to enjoy with your dog. There is a large collection of poop bags to help you out if you forgot one and in the warmer months there is running water for dogs to drink.
Nice little park area with huge fields that all the puppers can run around and play together!! it's like a gigantic off leash dog park! great people that apparently frequent the spot with nice dogs for yours to play with! Also there's a few miles of trails that go around thru the woods at the back side of the property, down the power lines, and apparently there's some water for the pups to get into, altho I haven't come across that yet.. overall a cool place for the pups and get a nice little walk in too!! Dog-friendliness: Lots of people with their pups out there and plenty of room for them to clown around off leash!
Great place to bring the ! Have not had a bad experience here and the majority of dog owners are very responsible of their dog. Lots of room to roam with your fur children
Nice open green space in Wilbraham. We attended the Wilbraham Annual Trunk or Treat here which was a lot of fun. The park was a good size that even with all the family it did not feel cramped.
This used to be a great place to bring my dogs. Unfortunately, my dogs are bigger and someone felt as though my dogs pinned their dog which was not the case at all. My dogs bark when they play and roll in the grass. And Tracy came to me accusing me of this when she had no proof and was not there to witness this. If you do not know the difference between aggression and playing maybe you should be educated. K9 in east longmeadow is a great place to get your dogs trained and you as a dog owner as well!
It's a lovely spot but not great for people with disabilities. We were there for a wedding which was beautiful. But there were porta potties which were a nightmare. The traditional one was gross, didn't have any handrails, and was too small for walkers and wheelchairs while the nice ones with handrails inside had awful high stairs with a flimsy handrail outside to get access. The gravel parking lot wasn't wheelchair and walker friendly. There was a path made of pavers but it ended well short of the tent. So while we loved celebrating with the happy couple and the area was pretty I don't recommend it for those with disabilities.
Nice place to take a quiet walk, plenty of trails and a few open fields for running. Overall owners are friendly and keep the park clean.
Great place to enjoy a bit of nature. Lots of trails to explore, large dog park with super, friendly patrons. The site hosts occasional festivals, concerts and fundraisers to keep the park going and growing. Wednesday Comedy nights in the Red Barn have become an overwhelming success nicely complimenting the outdoor Thursday Summer Concert series. Bring the kids, bring your pet and enjoy this awesome free park in Wilbraham.
Absolutely love this dog park! I've met so many nice people and my pups love the field where they can play with friends and also we love the trails !!
Great place to take a Walk when you're down.. All the Dogs running around playing together can't help but make You Smile !
