Fourth Ward Bread Co. is a family run bakery and cafe. Located on North Graham Street and nestled in the residential backdrop of Charlotte's Historic Fourth Ward District, Fourth Ward Bread Co. offers pizza and sandwiches served on rustic European style bread. The atmosphere features repurposed furniture in an old warehouse setting with big, beautiful windows that reach up toward our 15’ high ceilings.
At Fourth Ward Bread Co., we develop the breads’ flavor by using a slow, cold fermentation that allows the sugars and proteins of the flour to fully mature. This process creates a reddish crust with a subtle nutty flavor in our hearth style breads.
Our produce is locally sourced whenever possible. Our barbecue and sausage is freshly made using pork from Black Heritage Pigs raised at Pryor Farm in Thomasville, NC.
We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So whether you want a quick bagel in the morning on your way to work, a pizza in the evening on your way home, or to just curl up with a great book and an espresso, we would love to see you.
