I NEVER have an issue here except for today. I had lab tests done on Friday...the nurse called today, Monday, and left a message only saying " this is Jill's nurse, call the office at this number "...I returned her call 4 or 5 times each time being told she would call me back. The last time I called the person who answered transfered my call and the nurse did not pick up. She told me the nurse will send message through My Chart, if she gets time or call tomorrow. I waited for 5 hours for a return call on my lab results.....AND I DID NOT INITIATE THE CALL. So now I am on edge . Doctors don't call patients if results are normal. Like I said, I love Jillian but.... .
This clinic and staff are amazing. Jean M DeCavitch, is amazing and very caring. She take her time to address all my concerns. I could not be happier with my medical decision.
Okay here is my review. I decided to go here because last couple years went to the Lowell facility. The reason I switched is because both doctors in Lowell only cared about what they can bill . I felt they didn't give a hoot about my health both were bill happy. So decided to try this one out. I have to do a biometric health screening every year from my employer. I seen Jean. When I was there only one person in waiting room. Jean did the necessary things for the physical but she seemed very rushed and didn't seem like I was important. I had questions about my health and she seemed like she wanted just to get to the next patient.she put me on a blood pressure medicine and after 4 days of taking it was horrible.I coughed and chest and throat were burning. I called up there to have change it and talk to her about it and the person up front who isn't friendly said she would give her the message I explained what was wrong. After 4 hours called back again and was told she gave her the message. I emphasized just need to talk to her for like 2 minutes. Was told she was getting out with a patient and would call me right away. Well no call. Look I know we are all busy but my health matters. So I decided to call before they closed and was told she was getting messages. I said that may be true but no one calling me back. I told Margaret person at front who was taking messages that this was crazy. And I also informed her I was not calling back a 4th time for a simple phone call back and that I would just call corporate the following day. Well finally the next day I get a call back and Jean was all apologetic and I told her my problem and emphasized just wanted to talk to her for a few minutes to change blood pressure medicine that it was horrible. She said she left early the day before. Why couldn't someone of told me that the day before??? Needless to say I won't go back here again. I tried but just felt like cattle to slaughter . My wife is in health care and knows someone at Franciscan and told her that they get a lot of pressure to get as many patients in to bill as much as possible. I didn't know God was into that kind of money. What about a patients health...guess it doesn't matter....what happened to the good old days when doctors cared and knew your history and had a great bedtime manner....the American health care system at its finest....The corporate billing is also a nightmare at franciscan they bill a lot of diagnostic instead of preventative to try to squeeze more money out of you also...I am done with Franciscan network all together. I tried and not one good experience.
My mom was discharged from a hospital not Franciscan with confusing discharge instructions. Her primary care provider is the nurse practitioner Jillian. Jillian helped us clarify everything, coordinate consults/therapies and eased our minds!!! My mom had always raved about Jillian and after meeting her I absolutely understand why! The other professionals in the building, from office staff to medical assistants, are all very friendly and patient. I am so grateful my mom is in such wonderful hands with her healthcare
Dr. Jean is knowledgeable about certain things but has no bed side manner and absolutely no empathy. I work at Amazon and am required to bend and squat to look for items 10 hours a day. She straight up rolled her eyes and left the room and told me to do yoga and get over it. All I need is a note for work and a referral to physical therapy and this person acts like the peons complain too much about their blue collar jobs. I wouldn't recommend if you want a doctor that has an ability to see things from their patient's perspective.
Jean is the absolute best. Shes been my primary for years and I’m 100% happy. She takes her time and really cares about her patients. My 83 year old grandmother sees her too.
Misdiagnosed for pneumonia: I came in on a Monday listed about 20 symptoms I'd been having for weeks. I had an elevated temperature when I was checked there. I was told to take Claritin and Prednisone and call if things got worse. I took Claritin and an hour later had the most intense chills of my life and could barely move. I spent 2 days with a high fever and slept 18 hours because I had to work night shifts. I finally got in on Thursday and was tested for strep and I said this is really an infection and I'm concerned. So she told me to go get my prescription for Prednisone and then go to the hospital for chest x-rays if I really thought it was an infection. So I go to the hospital and sure enough I had pneumonia. I'm not sure how that was so hard to miss but I don't think I'll be coming back to this clinic any time soon. She not only put me at risk but my young son who is 4 at risk for pneumonia. Not good.
Dr. Carlson is the most caring, up-to-date doctor in this crazy world of what "used to be"! Always tries to make my demeanor better. Has taken very great care of my husband and I. Highly recommend!!
It took me a long time to find a Dr that really took the time to understand me and listen. He has helped me tremendously. I went through several terrible doctors until I found Dr Carlson. He is very caring and really listens. Both nurse practitioners are very kind as well.
Always so kind and intent on finding the issue. Carlson and all the staff are great always recommend them when asked about suggesting a primary physician .
