On April 17, 1988 Franco’s Athletic Club opened
its doors to the community of Mandeville,
Louisiana a suburb of New Orleans. Franco’s has grown from a 27,000 sq. ft. racquetball facility to a 250,000 sq. ft. Indoor /Outdoor Family Lifestyle Club and Spa, and employs over 260 staff members.
Today, Franco’s Athletic Club is one of the most
highly regarded health and fitness centers in the
country with a strong commitment to producing
first rate programs for adults, children, and seniors.
Ron and Sandy Franco, along with their devoted
team of health & fitness professionals, have
created a world renowned facility with a reputation for working toward a stronger community. Franco’s fitness professionals have worked to bring fitness beyond the walls of their facility; to promote, educate and facilitate healthy lifestyles within the community.
Franco’s mission is to create a culture of health and fitness for all generations. Though the organization has grown tremendously since its first day of business, the equipment and classes have never become more important than the people they are designed to serve. Founding partner Sandy Franco often notes, “Our club is about relationships. It’s not just about being fit- that’s only one component of it. It’s about how we make people feel when they walk in and out of our doors.” Those people are walking in the doors in ever increasing numbers. Today, Franco’s Athletic Club has more than 15,000 members.
