Founder and owner Franco Maniaci began his career in Europe, spending many years in Italy, France and Switzerland learning all aspects of the hotel and fine dining industries. During this time, he cultivated a love and appreciation for food and wine that would set the course of his future. Franco relocated his family to Southern California and became Owner/Chef of several successful Italian restaurants before he was eventually able to pursue his true passion and establish Franco Wine Imports in 1994.
Franco travels to Italy regularly to source new wines for the portfolio. He strives to create a balance of both well known and unique varietals from all over the country. Producers are chosen based on their shared passion and commitment to excellence. Franco Wine Imports maintains close relations with our producers to ensure continuity in wine quality, availability and pricing. As a direct importer/distributor with a focused portfolio, our sales staff is able to provide our customers with the knowledge and support they need to promote the wines.
