Franklin County Public Library works in concert with the Wilderness Coast Public Libraries. The mission of the FCPL is to promote reading and lifelong learning by providing access to informational, educational, recreational, and cultural materials for persons of all ages and to serve as a focus point for community activities.
The primary source of funding for the libraries comes from the Franklin County Board of Commissioners and its supplimented with contributions made from the City of Carrabelle, State Aid to Libraries Grant, Library Services and Technology Act Grant (LSTA), the Watkins Foundation, and the Friends of Franklin County Public Library.
