How is this place not closed yet, the absolute worst service I've experienced. They prescribed two medications that were not to be taken at the same time which caused internal bleeding. Informed to go to emergency where was told this could cause kidney damage.
I would give this place a negative star if I could. All I need is a prescription refilled and I have to wait 2 plus hours to see someone about it. And forget about booking an appointment! They way overbook so by the time you actually get to see someone, it's weeks later!! You would have better luck going straight to the ER at the hospital at this rate. Every time I've come to this place, I've spent a good portion of my day wasting my time by waiting! Horrible place! Stay far away from it! The entire first sitting area is usually full and the second sitting area has very few spots available. That's how many people are waiting to see one of the very few "practitioners" at this place. I have never actually met my "family doctor" and I'm constantly only seeing nurse practitioners instead. Pathetic!
I just called up the doctors office to follow up on my referral that was sent a few months ago and I asked the medical receptionist to see if I have an appointment date and she said very rudely that if we did have an appointment we would have informed you . I was shocked with this attitude, clearly she is having a bad day. I asked her to send a second reminder and she said you need to make an appointment to discuss this with the doctor. I asked her why do I need to see a doctor for this. I have myself worked in a doctors office for 8 years I will not ask a patient to see a doctor for such a small thing. That’s wasting doctor’s precious time. The medical receptionist got mad and hung up the phone on my face. I called her back and asked her very nicely if this is the case then give me an appointment and she said I will not give you any appointments. Wow and she hung up on my face again. Extremely rude behaviour I was very very shocked and upset. If she was having a bad day there is no way to take it out on patients who can be seriously sick and stressed out.
Had to call my own ambulance from FMC because no staff was paying attention to my condition that day which was a heart problem. I was rushed to the hospital with lights flashing and siren blaring! They ignored my condition for years and one male nurse practitioner told me it was all in my head and patted my hand. Thank goodness the Cambridge hospital referred me to a cardiologist immediately but it has taken years to get my health back.
DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE - my fiance is a patient at this office this office which is run by an extremely money hungry Dr. The only good doctor this office has ever had was Dr. Griffeon, and of course he couldn't stand it, so he is no longer there either. This is what you can expect from this office if you become a patient. -waiting on hold for up to a half an hour -forced to leave messages with no return calls -always have to see a different doctor -complete confusion by the staff when calling in with a question -doctors starting and leaving like a revolving door. -never being updated regarding any type of referral. We called regarding a referral that was made for my fiance in January, 8 months later we haven't had a single person contact us. I called to follow up, nobody answered the phone, left a message for someone to please return our call, nobody called us back. Called again to follow up, was left on hold for 30 min, only to discover that the person answering the phone did not have a clue what I was talking about. Eventually figured out that he was referred to a group of doctors at a place called Body Stream in January. I would clearly avoid this team as well since you could die before even hearing back from anyone. All of this to be told that a new referral would be sent to different doctor since we have not heard anything back.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Save yourself and your family from the complete lack of professionalism and compassion by avoiding this place, because THEY DONT CARE, you are just another pay cheque to them. It's unfortunate that I am forced to even provide a one star rating.
I've had good service here. Been going here for 7 years. Have only met my doctor once. Other doctors are good too...so doesn't matter to me who I see as long as I see a doctor. Called because I thought I had shingles...they saw me same day I called. Now going through other issues and feel I'm getting good care. Every doctor I've ever seen always had wait times to get in...so I don't see that as a problem. Never seen a rude receptionist here. Always kind and helpful. Found it difficult reading all the negative comments when my experiences have been good. Only thing I don't like is that i can only go here or the hospital. But i hear a lot of places have that restriction now too.
Appointments are never on time because they overbook everything. You have to wait 4 weeks to get an appointment time for non emergency issues and then 3-4 days for things that shouldn't have to wait that long like an ear infection etc. The staff is often be unpleasant and there seems to be a high turnover rate of support staff. Another year pasted since my last review and this is still one of the worst run clinics I've ever seen. Called Monday morning first thing to get in for a chest and sinus infection, she wouldn't make me an appointment but put on a cancellation list. Sure no problem except I'm getting sicker while I wait. Tuesday I call to check again, still on the list and told I'll have to wait until someone cancels. I couldn't wait anymore or I would have ended up hospitalized so finally mid day Tuesday I knew they weren't going to call so went to a walk-in clinic. So much better than having to deal with them anyways. Long story short it is now end of the day Thursday and they still haven't called to fit me in. They need someone better running this clinic. This is made even more clear by the the outcome of Dr Takhar's disciplinary hearing and the fact that nothing has been done to improve patient care even though she knows she is doing an injustice. It is fine to expand but when you can't even provide standard care for the patients you have there is a huge problem. It is evident she doesn't care about the patients it is all about how much money she can make.
We went to this clinic as it's the after hours location for our family doctor. The wait time was 2 hours but that can be pretty standard. My child was sick, they gave her a prescription but put no dosing on it. They don't answer the phone so myself and my pharmacist couldn't get through. They've faced the office twice asking for the dosage. Still no response. The doctor stated the pharmacy should just base the dosage off of the weight... but there is still a range regardless of weight due to the severity of symptoms etc... I called the pharmacy located at the medical centre the lady there was kind enough to take a message and pass it along to the clinic. No response from that as well... Honestly what's the point. I fill.like I should bill them for my time, they're billing the government for theirs... a complete waste. Avoid at all costs
Super bad,the worst. Can't get appointment, never the same doctor. Worst yet to get prescription renewal it can only be done on weekends. I just called and the phone messages have not been updated from the holidays. It is hard to get them on the phone. I have made an appointment with a date and time and when I arrived for my appointment I waited to check in only to find out they did not have me in the books for that day. I can't wait to find another doctor.
Been a patient here for several years and the service just gets shockingly worse each time I go in. There was a wonderful nurse practitioner I had seen here once 3 years ago, but she was gone before I could ever get a follow up appointment with her. This seems to be the new pattern... any time you actually get a doctor or nurse practitioner that cares about your health or treats you like a human being, they disappear before you get to have your followup appointments... really sad, but also really complicates any situation you have that requires multiple or continuous appointments. I am so frustrated with this clinics rapidly diminishing patient service!!!
