I discovered Fraser Tea at Drifter Coffee in Ferndale, MI after ordering an iced London Fog even though I can't really handle caffeine. It didn't taste like a typical Earl Grey latte -- it was the creamiest, dreamiest, most beautifully fragrant tea ever. Of course, I had to ask them where they sourced their tea. Soon after I went on the Fraser Tea website and was THRILLED to discover that there was actually a decaf version of the CREAM EARL GREY, which is different than just basic Earl Grey. If you like a creamy, almost floral character to your tea, this is the one for you. They have traditional EG as well. I also later had a rainbow rooibos latte at Berkley Coffee, which is another great shop in MI that has some Fraser Tea options. There are soo many flavors on the Fraser Tea site but I finally settled on a few. The customer service is first rate. I made a mistake with my first order and they emailed me and didn't even charge me extra despite ordering a more expensive item. I LOVE that all the teas are organic + vegan -- I just bought a bunch more. Plus, the company is family owned and operated. Feels good to support small business.
I have been a tea drinker all my life but just recently got into loose leaf tea. The lock down put a lot of time on my hands. After having a disappointing experience with another supplier, I decided to try Fraser Tea. I had actually tried some of their bagged tea once after picking it up at a store in Ann Arbor and was impressed. I had no idea they were located quite close to me in Livonia. I ordered 4oz of Chocolate Martini and 4oz of Irish Breakfast for local pickup. Their website said it would be ready for pickup usually within 24 hours but to my amazement it was ready in more like 20 mins. I was really impressed. Arriving to their location I located my package with my name on it. The tea was packaged really nice with a personalized note from one of the owners, a cup and a few samples. The personalized note took the experience to the next level. Before writing this review I wanted to try the teas out for a few days and fine tune the leaf to brew time for my personal taste. The Chocolate Martini smelled amazing but I know Chocolate flavored anything can be hit or miss. Also, I noticed that the ingredients to this blend included cherries. My first cup tasted more of cherry than chocolate but I REALLY like cherries and up until now I've been disappointed in cherry tea. I shook up the mix really well for my next couple tastings and the cherry flavor is starting to mellow a little bit, so maybe the blend had settled. While the blend didn't exactly hit the mark of Chocolate Martini, I still enjoy it. The loose leaf tea is large enough so that almost no leaves get through the strainer a major complaint I've had with some other loose leaf teas. The Irish Breakfast was also large enough leaf so that almost no leaf passes through the strainer and the taste is what I expect from Irish Breakfast. I must say Fraser Tea has really impressed me and I will most definitely be a repeat customer. Although it may take me awhile to get through the 8ozs of tea I've ordered. Edit: placed my second order yesterday and the service, product and experience were again top notch. Ordered Se Chung organic Oolong and another batch of Irish Breakfast.
Tea is delicate. If you don't treat it right, the end product will taste like gym socks. Fraser tea seems to have perfected the art of making delicious teas. The hot Cinnamon Spice fills the entire house with the most amazing aroma, and we drink it as iced tea which is so refreshing. The spicy chocolate chai is so delicious it takes like you made chai from scratch and tastes great both hot and iced. The cream earl gray is smooth, and the darjeeling is perfection. I did read a review that someone had an issue with the tea sacks. I did too. I have had several break on me so I don't use the sacks anymore - I cut them open and brew them like the rest of my loose leafed teas. Fraser Tea does not send you tea dust inferior teas are mostly small, cut tea leaves, you will get actual tea leaves. Every box is carefully packaged, and comes with packets of sample of tea these are in tea bags hence why I know the tea bags can explode, and it comes with a handwritten note which is an especially sweet and endearing touch. If you're on the fence, give some of their teas a try. You will not be disappointed.
I LOVE this company . I gave up coffee recently and started drinking tea again. My husband bought a box of Hot Spicy Cinnamon tea from the Westborn Market and I was instantly hooked for life . It’s so incredibly flavorful. After that I couldn’t stop drinking it . At one point when the store was out of that flavor I decided to buy some from their website . I bought a box of the cinnamon of course! And also the Signature Tea Sampler so I could try other flavors . It arrived fast, it was carefully packed in tissue paper with a few extras smart Also, a coupon and a lovely handwritten note . That was a nice touch . The kind of customer service that you don’t always find these days . I really appreciated it ! Besides the Cinnamon flavor, I really love the Turmeric Ginger Organic Green tea and The Morning Blend Organic Black tea . I can’t wait to try more!!! Thank you so much!
Was so impressed with the speed of delivery arrived next day and the personalized service. How many companies take the time to write a personal message to a customer see attached. I have tried most of the teas we ordered and love them all! Especially love that they are organic and a local company! My favorites are the Coconut Chia & Apple Spice Gingerbread! I will definitely be ordering from Fraser again!
Just received my first order from Fraser Tea and was so pleasantly surprised! The lovely packaging and personal note were appreciated. The extra free samples and to-go cup were really a nice touch...and the tea was AMAZING. I can only have organic, decaf tea so I'm thrilled to have found Fraser Tea, my new favorite!!
After a friend introduced me to Fraser teas, I decided I liked them enough to place my own order. Placed an order for 6 boxes of different teas. Ordering was easy. Shipping/fulfillment was quick. No issues there. So what's with the 2 star review if ordering and shipping was so good? Quality control, communication, and follow up. After roughly 7 sachets that were either exploded before or after brewing, I contacted the company and sent images. I also stopped brewing the teas while waiting for guidance basically should I return what was left for replacement. Within the next day or two I received an email asking for lot numbers so they could investigate. Sent those and then crickets for 3 weeks. At that point, I decided to continue brewing. Low and behold another issue reared its head...strings fused between the packaging. After a couple of those, I replied to the email in which I sent the lot numbers, and included an image for illustration and asked for a follow up to my original issue. That was last week and it's been a month since my initial contact. I've resorted to emptying each sachet into a tea ball and steeping that way to prevent further issues. If I wanted loose tea, I'd have ordered loose tea. At this point I've told others of my experiences and they too are pausing future orders/purchases of Fraser tea as they watch where this goes. I will not be purchasing, nor recommending, Fraser Tea until my issues are addressed. This would be a 1.5 star review if half stars were given. Without the issues/lack of communication/service, 4-4.5 stars. Pros: Easy to order Quick turnaround time Good Tea Cons: Poor quality control Poor communication A lot of flavors with very similar tastes to each other, subtle differences that are hard to differentiate from each other.
First time ordering from Fraser Tea. Outstanding place! They are taking your safety to a very high level. You may order on line and have your order delivered, or if you live nearby, order and pick up your order. They will place it outside with your name on the box. No interaction needed. Oh, and the Tea Cream Earl Grey Organic Black Tea is excellent! I can't wait to try the others! Highly recommended.
I've been drinking this tea for a few years now with absolute joy. Full of flavor, organic, lots of variety for my family and wonderful service. I plan on staying their customer for a very long time.
Wonderful company. Every tea I've tried is really good. Quality seems top notch. I also love the hand written notes and the nice packaging. They clearly care about their product and customers. The hot cinnamon spice is amazing. I even got a non tea lover to become obsessed with it! I would recommend Fraser Tea 200%!! Thank you Fraser family!
