Good service from the bartender considering there was only one bartender servicing 10 people at the bar. Came in when threat aftermath of a rude customer but they handled it well and timely with the local security/police. Great food and great singers for karaoke! Didn't have the song what I wanted but it's all good. Nice place, friendly environment and vibe.

Bad atmosphere and rude service make this a place to avoid. Tried to take a date here on a Tuesday night. The host seemed upset we even walked in the door. He tried to tell us they didn't have any tables when they visually had several open. Proceeded to seat us at what amounted to a bar stool for a table with a window ledge and a smaller stool built for a small child. We sat for about 20 min in this nearly empty bar before anyone acknowledged our presence. The server was unpleasant and acted put-out by someone sitting in their section. After receiving menus and water almost 45 min from entering the restaurant we decided to leave. I will never return to this establishment and warn others from going here as well. Literally the worst service I've ever experienced.

I'm going to start by saying I love Fred P. Ott's! It's very convenient if you live in Westport or on/near the plaza. It's in walking distance for many. Usually they have good "bar food" and their staff is very friendly. I placed a to-go order Saturday morning right after they opened @ 11am. I thought by placing it that early it might come back and bite me, and it did viciously! The buffalo wings I ordered had NO sauce on the them and tasted nothing like the one's I had ordered on their patio previously. I also ordered fries and a side of cheese sauce. The fries were okay, but the cheese sauce was like liquid with a few jalapeno's floating in it. Like is was thrown together a microwaved or left over from the previous evening. Disgusting! I'd been stung here once before ordering nachos while watching the Royals one night, but had never been dissatisfied with their wings until I placed the to-go order. I couldn't even finish the wings or cheese sauce. Their bartender and other staff gal there were very nice as always, and I will definitely return, but I now officially consider their food inconsistent and questionable to order. Like I said I love this place, but I was VERY disappointed Saturday morning. I could have ordered thew same thing for less if I drove another couple blocks to the Peanut, but I enjoy P. Ott's for the convenience. You need to be ready to go when you're OPEN!

Well we had about 10 people walk in and the bartender figured out about 4 different ways to not serve us, all standing in the same spot for about 15 minutes 1 Need a 2nd form of ID 2 Can you track down your friends IDs 3 I can't serve you unless you have a table 4 I'm too busy right now, I'll get back soon Despite providing multiple solutions to her multiple requests, apparently this person hates us for reasons I cannot determine. Been here multiple times but never had an experience like that

If you are looking for a dive bar in an area that is otherwise stuffy and overpriced this is it. This place is delightfully unrefined and unapologetic about it. Karaoke happens sun thru tues as well. 100% local joint. Chalk full of friendly regulars. Its the diamond in the rough on the plaza and i approve.

Was ignored by the bartender. Waitress was rude. Says it's kid-friendly & had kid's menu but very limited seating and its all high top pub tables. Heard it was good food but we didn't stay to find out. Didn't feel very welcoming.
