The officers in this department are a liability. They are scared of their own shadows. In the name of officer safety, which is all they care about, they will gladly pull out their weapon and escalate any peaceful situation. Violating peoples rights is a daily occurrence and standard operating procedure at this department. If things are calm you can always count on them to escalate the situation.
Officer Coaddy 519 or however you spell his name, should learn how to speak to citizens better when handling calls. He had a smart attitude and was no help at all. What good is calling for help, when you have people like him who doesn’t even know how to properly explain the law without trying to be smart about it. I’m glad I made sure I looked at his name badge, he wasn’t even worth speaking to, the lack of empathy some of these people who are officers, is disgusting!
Officer H.Leishear Id number 0580 stopped me for no reason… and when I drove back to the area she stopped the another individual in the EXACT SAME SPOT she stopped me at. It was the end of the month and she was looking to meet her monthly quota I guess. Stop wasting peoples time please and thanks.
I had the unfortunate experiences of getting into an accident yesterday on E Patrick by the BB&T Bank. Someone was in my blind spot when I was trying to change lanes to turn and I ended up hitting them no one was hurt thankfully. I was apologetic about the situation and explained I was trying to turn into the bank to turn around because I was a little lost because I am not from the area. The gal involved in the accident was friendly as we exchanged information and then waited for the officer to show up. As we waited I didn't place my ID back in my wallet and placed it on my passenger seat along with all my other paperwork from the glove compartment. So, the seat was a little messy because of that. I was on the phone with my insurance company when the female officer showed and i was about to finish my claim with my insurance. She approached me and directed my to grab my paperwork which I grabbed it, but had misplaced my ID in between the seat and center console. She told me to hand her my wallet and I respectfully said that it wasn't in my wallet and that I don't hand strangers my wallet. She then crowded me as I was looking for my ID and I asked for some space. She didn't move and I asked again, respectfully so I could go look on the other side of the car. She finally gave me a little space to slip by her to look on the other side. She then said she was going to write me up for not having it and I explained I do have and the other person involved even has a picture of it and I asked her to be patient. I finally found it right after that and gave her all my paperwork. My insurance card and info is on my phone in my State Farm app she asked why I didn't have a paper copy and I explained that I go to school in Baltimore and that my parents hadn't sent my paper card to me yet, but I had all my information with all legal documents on my app and downloaded for offline use as well. She then rudely starting asking me "what if you don't have your phone", "what if your phone is dead or have no service" and went on in a authoritarian fashion and tried her best to belittle me and actually escalate the calm situation. I was then handed a citation for the something completely wrong on the crash which she didn't not observe any part of it. What I am getting at is one of your duputies came to a situation that was calm and friendly and tried her best to escalate the situation into something that could have been bad for everyone. She did not stop and think about what we just went through and didn't even ask if we were okay from what I recall. Once I get my citation out of my car that is in the shop I will add her name to this review. I will be making a formal complaint as well. I am a firm believer in our police departments across the country, but what this officer did was out of line.
Got pulled over understandably by officer R. Hess suspended registration for emissions on Friday, Feb 8th got it fixed in less than 12 hours. He told me why i was pulled over and that I was getting a warning and that it wasn't serious. He was friendly and cordial and the stop felt like a customor service interaction. He asked me if I knew where to get emissions inspection and told me where the stations was and stop lasted no longer than 5 minutes. This is how I want all my interactions with police to be and I appreciated customor service style politeness!
Officer Schultz responded to a call I made because my vehicle broke down in a busy intersection during rush hour. He was very nice and helpful. Together with the two gentlemen from Ben Lewis Plumbing, they helped me. In this time of much negativity surrounding the human race, Officer Schultz showed that cops are still here to protect and serve! He was easygoing and joked around but maintained professionalism.
Officer Constantine pulls me over for supposedly turning quickly because I "saw" him behind me..yes I was getting ready to blow a u turn so I did check my surroundings, saw him and decided I better not blow a u turn and instead turn around in a parking lot. We were picking up a girl for work and we missed our turn. After being held up for quite some time after being asked several questions as if you are not allowed to be in Frederick unless you are a resident? Why are you here? Blah blah, you know the deal. Took all our ids and mind you, it was me and 2 girls. Asked if we had drugs in the car...is that normal to ask when someone gets lost?? 4 of 5 more cop cars pull up behind us..all for 3 lost women??? We sit there for what seems forever and are finally allowed to leave with a warning. We get to our destination and the girl we were to pick up had already left. We leave her residence upset as we drove all this way, we've been pulled over, lost, etc. And here a cop drives by the residence as we were leaving, checking to make sure we went where we said we were going? Is that normal? Then we pull out and a cop pulls behind us, and then another. Now they are stalking us?? What is going on? We were followed the entire way back until we got to 270 to go home. Pissed this girl left instead of waiting, but stuff happens, but why was I followed and stalked after I had already been pulled over, given a warning and told to have a good day? Is this legal? They followed our every move AFTER we were already let go...I don't understand how they can try to intimidate you like that? Damn...officer constantine, you needed all that back up and ridiculous following of 3 women?? Pathetic!! How the hell did you have all those officers just standing around, 4 cars or so of them for a traffic stop?? How about you go find real criminals and I would probably question why Frederick's residents are paying taxes for all these cops to stand around looking stupid and then stalking and basically running me out of town...Don't you have better things to do? Slow day? Officer Constantine a rookie and scared of women? I don't get it. What a waste of your time, meanwhile real crime is happening some where...pathetic and you should be ashamed!!
Frederick police officers are bunch of racist punks they have nothing better to do then pin false conviction on people by working with crooked judges and state prosecutors who favor these loser officers. I have nothing nice to say about this department espeically the unfair jusitce sysyem. They are a bunch of cowards and liars and get away with no consequences I have no respect for any of them or what they stand for because all they do is ruin people's lives instead of obying by their oath as an officer to protect their hard working citizen.
Walking down West Patrick back to motel 6 where I was staying for the weekend mind you I'm living on Patrick st. Officer Wolf tall white bald headed drives by ask if I'm okay and from here. My mistake to start speaking. He pulls into dealership jumps out his car demands my ID... I lost it he demands .e to come close to his car. Ask what is in my wallet. I ask what I did. NO ANSWER... He ask to search me I repeated myself asking what I did. He responds I walked down south st a high drug area. AGAIN I ask what I did that was so horrible to be treated like a animal. To make things short He demanded to search me 7 times said he could take me to jail and threatened me. By the way a state trooper was there and come out his vehicle with no hat... All I did was walk down the street... So hopefully who ever signs their checks knows they wasted time and money on someone who did nothing when they could of been working and arresting a Child molester or a real criminal...
Worst Police Ever: Tonight, I had an incident involving my brother trying to hit me so I called 911. I had officers dispatched to the area but they did nothing so much for our police department. Frederick City Police is one of the worst police agencies that I have seen throughout the state of Maryland. Not only is there NO diversity but all of the police officers that I have encountered in Frederick have no cultural competence and could care less about Frederick Residents. So this is where our tax dollars go; to an agency that could care less. If I was dying or even bleeding to death, I would never consider calling the police if it was in this county after this experience. Save yourself time and trouble and handle your problems yourself because our Frederick City Police can't.
