Allergy-Friendly and Dietary Restricted Bakery
In 2008 I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease.
As a foodie and someone who adores entertaining, I was determined to replicate the classic recipes I loved to create. It was hard! Gluten-free baking turned out to be a beast of its own. But I did not give up :D After much ardent trial and error, I began to understand the chemistry of it all. Combining the right ingredients in the correct proportions to mimic not only the taste, but the texture of the treats, savory and sweet, that I had enjoyed and been missing.
Now, with a three-year old daughter of my own who is gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, nut-free (oh my!) I have learned to further adapt my recipes to suit various food allergies and restricted diets.
I use the best quality ingredients I can find, sourcing local and organic whenever possible. I LOVE to bake. Eating healthy doesn't have to taste bad; it can taste really good! I provide healthy, quality baked goods without compromising taste.
Need sugar-free? My Mom is diabetic, which has helped me to further my repertoire in the baking field to suit her and numerous others with sugar-free diets.
Need something for a potluck or family dinner? I will take special orders for salads and casseroles, including the Herbed Confetti Quinoa Salad, Mexican Quinoa Salad, Asian Noodle Bowl, Gluten-Free Chicken Spaghetti, Gluten-Free Lasagna, Gluten-Free Quiche, etc.
