We were here for a picnic at the pavilion which was very nice. It was shaded as well. Bathroom faculties are availble. There are many activities available to try here. Among these are the pool the disc golf course. Also available are a basketball court, beach volleyball, and a children's plauground. There is a nice pond available to fish in also . A good experience all around
It's a really nice park it has a pool area a good bite of picnic tables and I think some have grills and a couple of places to do a party and a little pond with a little area to walk on the woods and Ithey had a place to place volly ball and I think tennis and maybe soft ball not sure and the play ground was really nice to
Very nice park. Good for sitting or walking or bringing the grandkids. Or meeting someone to walk. Playground: Basic things kids want for all ages. Things were clean and maintained. Nice park
Freelander is a nice place to visit. My daughter and her softball team plays/practices on one of its many fields. They offer a playground, pond with fishing available, many sites to grill, a beautiful building to rent for parties and there is a pool as well.
The weather was fabulous so my husband and I grabbed some Taco Bell and took it to Freedlander Park to enjoy a picnic together. The hillside along the pond was blocked off, I think for winter, so we couldn't get to the picnic tables in the pretty part of the park. We made do with a table close to the pool. Pretty much had the park to ourselves and enjoyed our time there. Playground: The playground is small, but nice. Dog-friendliness: Riot loved walking around the park. Picnic area: My husband and I enjoyed the picnic pavilion.
Great frisbee golf course minus all the poison ivy along the paths, did get a tick there too. Cute little pond with lots of frogs and one big carp. Best of all, toadstools!
Used the basketball court. Needs some TLC and updating for sure. Come on city of Wooster… You need to take better care of your parks.
This is a nice little park with a small pond and gazebo that reaches out onto the pond. You can see a fair amount of small wildlife, go for a swim, play Frisbee golf, or just walk around and enjoy the nature. You don't feel close to town at all while here.
Came here to play disc golf. I would say it's generally a short/midrange course with a couple 300+' holes. Lots of trees, and wild rose bushes in the rough Fairly rough, mulched style tee off pads. Not a good place to play after rain. Here on Sunday afternoon, no one else playing the whole time. Very quiet. Quite a few markers at the tee pads were missing, but there are signs on top of the baskets pointing to the next tee. Pretty easy to follow through all 18 holes for the first time. The park is a little run down, but generally decent overall. Update: cam here to play disc golf again in mid August. I will never be coming here for disc golf again in the summer. VERY overgrown and neglected course. Quite difficult to manage, had to hunt for discs several times. Although not a bad course in winter when there is no vegetation.
It is very well taken care of and has a fantastic playground for kids.
