Freedom Community Credit Union is a member-owned and controlled financial organization. We promote financial responsibility and member education and involvement while maintaining long-term financial stability.
In 1954, less than a year into the infant credit union’s existence, its first location was literally a small cash box kept in the Squadron Secretary’s file cabinet. Members making deposits and withdrawals often had to phone first to make sure someone would be there to make transactions. From these humble beginnings, the North Dakota Air National Guard Credit Union has accelerated through 60 years of growth to become one of North Dakota’s largest, most successful North Dakota Credit Unions.
With over 60 years of customer-first financial experience, our members have decided it is time to reach out to the those in our community, extending a welcome to those who have watched and supported our hometown soldiers, sailors, and airmen. In doing so, we’ve changed our name to reflect our hometown spirit and our cherished right to select our road to our destiny.
Membership in this Credit Union is limited to individuals living within a 75 mile radius of Fargo, ND and members or their immediate families.
