I've been going to this place for years. Their food is decent they have chicken pizza sandwiches their macaroni salad I think it's the best I've had their Deli is pretty reasonable. They sell beer and cigarettes it's convenience store. It has no public restroom. The people that work there are very friendly. It's laid-back. But if you're going to use a credit it has a minimum limit that you have to spend which is $10. They're open early in the morning I stopped there right before 6 a.m. I'm not sure what time their business hours are. And it's very clean.
Went in there to get some drinks and went to pay with my card. The cashier didn't inform me that apparently you have to spend at least 10 dollars to use a card. Instead, she charged me for 10 dollars on my card and gave me back the change in cash. This would've been fine if they would've warned me but instead they did it without saying anything and I don't think that's okay at all. I also didn't see a sign anywhere on their register that said there was a limit to use a card.
Serve people in the order THEY CAME IN, not what is convenient for you. I walk in, the cashier is gathering my doughnuts and then another guy walks up to the counter. Instead of informing him that I was already in line, or asking me if it was ok, the cashier checks him out first. What’s worse, when I asked her why he was cashed out before me when I was clearly in line first, she says it’s because he has his stuff all together. No apology followed. I’m not going to overthink it but when something like that happens, it’s hard not to at least think it was due to my skin color. Because the other guy was a Wayne county, boot wearing type of gentlemen. Again, I’m not saying it was a race issue, I believe everyone is afforded the same opportunities in America. But when you blatantly ignore me both him and the cashier and check him out first, and then don’t apologize, makes me feel very unimportant, race issue or not.
Review based on the chicken... I have lived in a Akron and raised in Alliance... It took me a minute to find this spot that rivaled what I was used to what I got before living here.. By far the best Chicken and Jojos in town... There have been some close, Buehler's and another Convience shop on the other side of town.. But this is 100% the best and fastest "take out" option.. Call ahead and place your order!
Always friendly and convenient for a quick snack or drink
Love the food and love the ladies who work there! :D
