My first visit was today for Lobster salad. I have to say it may be expensive but it is worth every bit of what I paid. The best most incredible I have ever had anywhere! Clams on the half shell and cooked shrimp were also perfect! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! Need I say it will not be my last visit!!
This is a great neighborhood small business that we cherish and frequent at least once a week. Maybe not the cheapest way to acquire seafood, but you get what you pay for, and the quality is fantastic they often have sushi grade options. That said, you can find affordable options as well, it just depends on the fish you're buying. Excellent customer service that feels like family. Highly recommended.
Great service. Prices good. I wanted to put whiting fish in my smoker. They gutted, deheaded and scaled the fish for me at no additional charge. Everything looked really good. Definately worth a return trip.
The fish here makes me want to each fish every night! It is so fresh and there is a large selection of different types of fish. They have a great delivery program and do an excellent job of preparing the fish for me to cook. I buy their lump crab meat and it is perfect. Go here for seafood!
I am from Japan but I must admit that I could get one of the best salmon for Sushi here!! Highly recommended!!!
Honestly the best fish I’ve found. My family and I drive 35 minutes one way to get our fish from here. It’s always so fresh, the lobster salad is INCREDIBLE, as well as the tuna fish salad. Highly recommend this fish market!!
Outstanding quality seafood, fresh and prepared. There are plenty of places where you could pay less, but is seafood really the place to save a dollar? Very nice folks run the place. Call ahead for big or complicated orders. You will love their fish. Year after year, 100% reliable.
I special ordered some Chilean sea bass from Freeman’s and it is absolutely delightful. Costly but well, well worth it. I love all the fish I get from here and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely Maplewood gem.
WOW! I called Freeman’s because I wanted to do “raw bar” for me and 3 others but didn’t know where to start. They helped me figure out what to order and how to order for the amount of people I wanted to feed. I set a pickup day and time and when I arrived today they were putting on the finishing touches, talk about fresh! They put everything on a beautiful platter and my guests were so impressed and so were the people waiting in line outside Freeman’s as I walked out with it! On top of all that the staff were incredibly friendly and the quality was amazing. I will definitely continue to order from there!
Freemans is independently owned, not a chain, and very well run. Their fresh fish selection is extensive, and you should try their fresh homemade fish salads tuna, shrimp, lobster, etc., plus their fresh clams and oysters.
