Very clean and comfy hotel. Has a very nice vibe. The rooms feel very small town and cozy. No issues. I love the touch where they call up to your room after checking in to see how your room was.Rooms: 4/5
This is a very nice old style hotel. If you’re younger you may not be used to a hotel like this. But it was nice and clean had a good shower and old time ambiance. Coffee and muffins in the lobby in the morning.
Ok first impressions. Cute, quaint, cozy. Now the nitty gritty- The not so appealing or bad if thats how you view it Drive ways aren't well lit. Where you would think you have to turn in you actually can't. Theres a curb there that is hard to see if your coming in after dark fair warning. A little bit of cosmetic wear and tear. She isint brand new people. Scratched and cracked light switch covers, a little bit of discoloration in the ceiling tiles. Not enough outlets to plug in. Just had to move a few things but, they didnt have all the '/things then either. The biggest downer for us -no breakfast... They did tell us when we checked in there would be a few pastries out, but when we checked out at 7:30 a.m. there were no pastries out...... HOWEVER the local MOOSE lodge has breakfast and is not badly priced... The pool looked like it needed cleaned. Bad... algae growing and the pool looks sad. We didnt use the pool but, we did check it out. None of these things were deal breakers for us. Now for the good- This hotel has that old world charm! Dark wood tones, grand staircase, brass embelishments! I loved that I felt safe there. I didn't feel like I had to watch my back. There is a river walk kind of just off the parking lot to the hotel, and a cute little fountian and park. Lots of Murals along the flood wall and historical plaques to go with them. Now, on to the room. The room was more than big enough. Had a nice little seating area. To which I would love to see a couch or settee. I love that they had a humidifier in the room for use! The bed was extremly comfortable but if your plus size, like me, you'll have trouble 'scooting' across as the bed is memory foam. Linens were clean and crisp. There was a mini fridge with no freezer in it coffee maker, alarm clock/cd player. This is one of the very few hotels that I DID NOT get woke up by people slamming doors and kids running rampid screaming and running like a heard of elephants. I do believe that we were here in maybe whats considered the 'off' season however we stayed a Saturday/Sunday. The fact that this hotel only has 61 rooms may also be a help. Thank you for providing me a quiet nights sleep! The bathroom had a HUGE tub/shower combo. Both my husband and I are on the bigger side of the scale and both of us fit in the tub COMFORTABLY and with room to spare!!!!! The best part our rubber duck!!!!!!! This made me smile the most! Who doesn't want a rubber ducky floating around in a GIANT jetted tub while relaxing after a long day! Both receptionists that checked us in and checked us out were friendly. And sadly I didnt get to rung the turtle bell on the counter! So if you go ring it for me!!!
After reading other reviews, I wonder if the people giving lower scores even visited. 1st, the negative: small cosmetic blemishes need attention. Nothing outrageous, just minor things maintenance can fix. The positives: very quiet place with a lot of charm! Rooms are modern with a classic look and feel. Clean, spacious and affordable! Our view of the river was spectacular! Service was outstanding, provided by professional, friendly staff! Probably the 1st time in years I stayed in a room and wasn't woken up at 5:30 by the early morning door-slammers!
Yes, I have stayed in nicer, more luxurious hotels that one might think deserve five stars. The French Quarter Inn, though, gets highest marks for character and experience. It's quaint, located along the scenic banks of the Ohio River, and in a lovely, well-preserved part of town lined with brick buildings. The hotel is owned managed by a traditional operator, so you're still getting the kind of service you used to expect. The room is clean and comfortable, and has a huge, jetted soaking tub that was so welcome after a long drive. Front desk staff are friendly and personable. This hotel is well worth going out of your way to stay in.
We just headed out for a weekend adventure along the river. We stumbled upon this little hidden gym. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The girl working the desk at night gave us some great information about local Hangouts. Our room was a really clean had a great view of the river, and we really enjoyed the Jacuzzi bathtub. We can't wait to go back!
Lackluster room for price, tons of "you better not do this or you'll pay this" and paper thin walls with noisy neighbors. Overall disappointing experience after hearing from friend how great the place is. It's nice looking from the street and entry floor, but rooms are old with old feel. Additionally, not only could we hear our neighbor's tv all evening, but then when they were carrying on all night drunk or whatever, we could hear it until 3:00AM. Called front desk twice and they said they couldn't hear anything when they came up and didn't do anything about it. Find another place....
Absolutely beautiful! Extremely friendly staff. I would definitely recommend staying here & can't wait for another opportunity to stay again.Rooms: 5/5
By far the best place I have stayed, hospitality was great, room was extremely clean, well organized, and very comfy. The spa tub was the best part about it. I had a rough day and had been working 6, 10 hour nights doing construction and made a reservation at this INN long story short woke up feeling amazing and refreshed. Will definitely stay again. The rubber duck with the note really made my day and it was super cute, warmed my heart .Thank you for the stay, making sure I had a spa tub, and the hospitality.
We loved stay in Maysville. The town is is a treasure and the French Quarter Inn a gem. It is not only wonderfully located but beautiful with comfortable. Our room was large and so refreshingly decorated. It didn't feel like a hotel. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom large. Joyce, the desk clerk, was most helpful. Thank you for a great stay.
