I absolutely love it here!!! I’ve been going to the friendly bookstore since I was a kid and it is my favorite little hidden gem. Each trip there’s new donations to look through and sometimes the books are even like-new, which is a great find. Most books range from $1-$3 in my experience, with exceptions is terms of collectibles and special editions, of course. Each and every volunteer is always eager to help and answer questions or to just strike up a friendly ha, get it? conversation. They are doing great things for our library and I can’t wait for my next visit!
I love Friendly Bookstore! This was my 1st time at this new location and it definitely has the same Friendly faces! I found so many new books that were in great condition. I also was brought back to my younger years when I noticed they had a section for VHS, DVDs, and CDs! It's a great place and they offer so much to the community.
Staff are super helpful. Great selection of options. Perfect pricing. I got three hardcover books for $5.
I try and support local businesses that aren't working against the community by promoting democrat values. This place was overtly leftist, the poly sci section was nearly all books about the 100% fake steele dossier and other American Dem KGB propaganda pieces. Kinda expected them to be better, but libs never are. They only ever fail everyone around them and their communities.
I love this place. Well organized and it’s all for a great cause.
Great staff...great books...well worth the trip...a nice variety...classic n' hip.. Games, DVD's and so much more lots for the kiddies, all to explore
Doesn't have variety, mostly old romance novels. Since they moved their prices went up. Honestly you can find better books at goodwill and cheaper.
Always find what I'm looking for and more. Very organized and staff is super helpful
I have loved the Friendly Bookstore and have been visiting for years. I was so excited for their new larger location. On our first visit there, volunteer Melanie snapped at me for my children being in the children's section without me. They were acting perfectly. Quietly looking at books one at a time. Fine if that's your rule which I didn't see posted anywhere but you could just say it kindly. She was really aggressive in her approach and just so rude. I was in again today and she was being hateful about an older woman's service dog. Such a shame. I understand everyone is a volunteer but if you aren't happy doing it maybe you just shouldn't anymore. Both my visits at the new location have really been the opposite of "Friendly". I'm sad. This used to be mine and my children's favorite bookstore , sad how one person can really ruin a good thing.
They have an amazing selection of books, DVDs, CDs, antique collectables, even board games and audio books
