The Friends of the American Canyon Library supports the library through financial contributions to expand and improve library resources, to encourage use of the library resources by all segments of the community, and to provide support through volunteer services of its members. Great little library with weekly activities for kids, including storytime on Tuesdays for toddlers and preschoolers. And you can request any book in the county.
My grandson went to preschool story time and Derek does a phenomenal job with the kids. They all actively participate by singing, dancing and are avid listeners to his storytelling techniques. It is a wonderful program as are many other things at the library like Crafternoon and visiting speakers.
Love this library, yes its small, but the people are super nice. They completely understand that little kids have a hard time being quiet. Really fast when reserving a book as well. I put a reserve on a book only a week ago and its already there. Definitely recommend going to this library.
It’s a little in the small size but the staff surely makes up for that!!! Was trying to find out some information on Dyslexia Dysgraphia... come to find out she was able to relate to my situation and made me know... I am not alone!!! Awesome job staff really make the Library a great place for my kiddos!!!
I previously gave them a great review, but will no longer be visiting them when there have been several times I've been there and they make comments and call other people when I walk in the door. And this is while they actually employ a security guard now. I feel sorry for the guard having to listen to all the petty smalltown gossip. It's no one's business if I visit the library.
Very nice library. Great selection and efficient hold system. The computers are speedy and there are plenty of places to work. The library is also very clean and well kept. The library events are also quite fun for all ages. The main problem is the middle school and elementary kids that play Roblox; they take up many of the computers and talk loudly amongst themselves. However there are a few questionable staff members that stereotype individuals by their age. I am a high school student and when I am working on school work and ask for more computer time they assume that I am a Roblox player and refuse to grant it. The other librarians are very friendly and helpful and will give you all the time you need. Other than that, I would defiantly recommend this library.
Very friendly staff always helpful. Not too many books though I wish they had more in this location but I think they are probably getting phased out all together but I'm old fashioned. Thanks everyone at the library for all your help.
I love this library! Derik is the best. The hold times are insanely fast. They will print out coloring pages at your request. They love kids and are super understanding of kid's shenanigans. For a small library, it couldn't get any better.
been coming here since i was about 4 years old, everything from activities to volunteering to college studying. a lot of light and good environment
