The purpose of the Friends of the Algur Meadows Museum is to support and encourage the advancement of art in Shreveport-Bossier and in the surrounding regions by establishing the Algur Meadows Museum as a center of art and culture in the South. The Friends support the museum financially and through volunteer efforts to promote and sustain the museum and its mission. We help the wonderful museum staff work diligently to maintain the permanent collection and guide the community to understand and appreciate art and art history.
