Friends of the Covington Library
The Friends of the Covington Library is an independent (501c3) corporation. The purpose of the organization is to work for the benefit, improvement, and welfare of the Covington Library, a branch of the King County Library System; to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs; to promote library use; and to raise funds to enhance and augment the purpose, programs, services and facilities of the library and/or King County Library System as appropriate.

New members are always welcome. The Friends meet the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Covington Library meeting room except in July & August. Membership for Friends of the Covington Library is $5.00 per year for adults and $2.00 for students (K-12).
Used Book Sale
The Friends hold book sales three per year, first full weekends of February, June and October. They also maintain ongoing book sale shelves in the library throughout the year. Donations are gladly accepted at any time.

The FOCL supports library activities for all ages, provides financial assistance for special equipment, sponsors guest speakers, hosts a variety of unique entertainment and educational events, and raises funds through memberships, popular book sales and other events.
Official FOCL membership is $5 per year for adults and $2 per year for students (k-12).
The Covington Library is open Mon-Thurs 10am-9pm, Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 10am-5pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm.
The FOCL Newsletter is available to members thru USPS or e-mail. It is published once a month (except July and August). Non-members can pick up the latest issue at the library.
