Friends was established to serve as community advocates and to raise funds to assist with library programs.
The Friends have raised money through bi-annual used book sales, sales of used books and other items in our used book store - the Book Cellar, and sales of several cookbooks containing recipes from Friends and the library staff. Money donated to the library has helped pay for the Summer Reading Kickoff Program, all prizes for the Summer Reading Program, prizes for the Great Page Race and the Rockin' Reading Race, to buy materials and equipment not included in the library budget, and to sponsor author programs for both children and adults.
The bulk of our product is "used books" which we sell at our biannual used book sales and in our used book store, the Book Cellar - located in the LL of the library. Come see us for quality books for all ages - fiction and non-fiction.
