Incredible. I had really no expectations about this museum, and was blown away. Completely unexpected level of exhibits. And the best part. Free! I was happy to donate, but free to the public is a welcome surprise. Super personal exhibits That have retained the details, and humanity of the very people whom donated. Spent at least an hour and a half to see everything.
This was really interesting and informative. Lots of detailed exhibits and plenty to see and learn. Even had a fun little scavenger hunts for the kiddos and a prize at the end for them. All around a great experience.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Went there for the American Revolutionary War exhibits and enjoyed every exhibit for a the wars and conflicts. Very informative and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend a visit !

This museum seems of the beaten path but it we'll worth the visit. We were greatest by great veteran volunteers and amazed that it is free to enter, so we left a donation. They have military exhibits from the revolution through Vietnam. Great collections and you can spend hours here looking at everything. I was very impressed!

I didn't actually go inside because I was unvaccinated at the time. They do require mask for unvacs, but I greatly enjoyed looking at the outside of the building and the two items they have displayed. The brickwork really is wonderful
Very nice museum covering the wars from Revolutionary to Vietnam. Many artifacts and stories. Very easy to walk and so much to read.
One of the best museums experiences I have ever had, was very impressed with the amount and quality of the artifacts. If you love history you will love the NYS Military Museum. I was there about 2 hours but could have used more time, look forward to returning.
