Don't go! Not worth your money and we got two tickets for the regular price through Groupon! $25 for two people is still too expensive for standing in line 2 HOURS just to get on a tractor for a hayride that's absolutely not scary! We didn't check out the maze because we were done standing in the cold! Might be a different experience with kids!
Great time was had by all in our group! This is a Sacramento tradition that we do every year. And from the looks of it, others agree! There were a few limos in the parking lot dropping off quite a few other people. You can get a whole night of screaming fun, which of course will put you into the Halloween mood. So don't be alarmed if the next morning you catch yourself rushing to the store and start buying Halloween decorations and a pumpkin. Because I sure did! I think I want to go back a week before Halloween or maybe even after since they are open for a Day of the Dead celebration in November. Really worth it. Come wanting to have fun, and fun they will provide!!
This place was trash, don’t waste your money on it. I’m not sure which attraction was worse, the haunted corn “maze” or the haunted hayride. Let me start off with the haunted corn “maze.” It wasn’t even a maze, you’re just following the path, it was pretty straightforward. The actors were really bad. They weren’t even that scary, they were annoying. The actors would just follow you and talk to you or stop you and talk to you. The customers would be behind the people in the front and the actors would blow away their hiding spot by standing out in the open pestering people. The haunted hay ride sucked. It’s a hay ride but not even that scary. It was too predictable. Every time the driver stopped, the actors would come out from their obvious hiding places in the corn field and jump out and try to scare you. They weren’t even slick about coming out from their hiding spot either. The music the DJ played wasn’t scary. In fact, it wasn’t even relevant to Halloween.
We went last night 10/27/17. Where do I start... nothing about this place was scary or fun. Not even the music the dj was playing was scary. It was obvious that they were in desperate need of staff. The haunted hayride was a long boring ride with 4-5 stops. Then someone would run out. The driver was on his phone almost the entire time. The effects mysic did not turn on until over half way through the ride. The place was totally dead for a friday night. No lines. No crowds. But huge prices. So lucky that we got groupon tickets. Im done with Fright Planet. I gave one star because of the potental the location has.
Was there at 7 pm first in line. Didn't open the gates until 7:15. Then tried to go into the hayride didn't let us in until 7:30 to make the "real line" didn't get on the ride until 8pm. Waste of time the actors sucked, it was obvious when the actor came out to scare us. The tractor would come to a stop and wait until the actors come out to scare us in total there was only 4 stops to get scared. Couldnt even tell what was happening because it was to dark to see anything. The corn maze was just as bad. The actors were trying to be funny and make jokes. Never coming here again!
I have been attending this haunt since it came to the Sacramento area! It is by far the most impressive and well planned out haunt by far of any I have been to in California. It's an amusement park! The actors are amazing and really play out their roles with frightening realness. Every haunt is original and will blow your mind! The 3D movie is really awesome and the stage events they have are really creative and cool! I would not spend my money anywhere else! The staff is beyond accommodating and nice. You can look at the negative reviews, but they are wrong and most likely provided by their competition which is often the case. Don't take my word for it....JUST GO! MUST GO!
There is nothing here. You wait in line, then get on a tractor that goes through a corn maze and exactly four people in costume throughout the 10 minute ride jump on the trailer and yell boo. There is also a DJ playing Slipknot and System of a down. Why? Put on a spooky Halloween mixtape and call it a day. The second attraction is just as bad, there are more characters but they're all just holding dolls heads. I don't know what happened, I went to this place 2 years ago and it was fantastic.
Terrible. Save your money. As someone who scares easily, this was not scary...at all. I did not jump once and of the "ten" attractions, only 7-8 were in use. There wasn't much change in between each attraction and overall everything was too predictable. It was a let down and I will not be going back again next year. For small kids, I imagine this would be just fine, but for adults, I'd look elsewhere.
It hurts to read all these negative reviews! When I was volunteering here back in 2013, it was the best, but that was 5 years ago, different actors, and a much bigger production with, I believe, 8 different attractions with at least 10 people in each, plus a slew of roamers. Also, it was staged in the old water park, Raging Waters, I think. But they moves to this location in 2016, and honestly, I think that may have been what killed it. It was perfect where it was. This newplnew was supposed to be much larger, so they could build bigger haunts, or at least more. I'm disappointed to hear that the downsized and downgraded to a pathetic maze and tractor ride. That's not the quality we strove for back when I was part of it. Perhaps suffice to say that it's always so much better and more fun to be IN a haunted house than to visit one.
I have not yet been here, I was thinking about checking the place out, but so far I have not been feeling it because these reviews are completely horrible. but then again I have to check it out for myself, I highly advise that if you are thinking of going and you see some bad reviews that you should experience it on your own, people have different opinions. I will rate this a one for right now and after I go I will rate it from there. I am not one to get scared to easily, but I guess we'll see what'll happen.
