If I were the cook I would be embarrassed to send these burgers out... our main food sat on the line for 5 or 6 minutes minimum and were only delivered under protest by the server. With her saying they were under a warmer. This was AFTER the server brought out a coke that needed the syrup changed badly and even stated she would bring me another and went to change the syrup and it was 20 mins before I got a different drink
We attempted to dine here while in Louisville, but they were out of almost everything. You couldn’t even get an omelet. The restaurant also needed updating and getting in the parking lot was like a war zone compared to the beautiful Louisville area. We ended up leaving and thought we wouldn’t get to eat at a Big Boy during our KY trip. Luckily the Frankfort location came to the rescue. This spot though was only good for the photo outside.
We came with a party of three adults and one toddler on 08/16/2022 slightly before 3pm. We were seated by Angie and it became obvious this poor lady was running the restaurant solo. She did a wonderful job! She took orders, bussed tables, ran the register, and I’m pretty sure she was cooking, too! She was super attentive and engaging, and checked on the customers frequently so we never had a lack of anything. It was by far one of the best experiences we’ve had at any restaurant. The food was good. Nothing fancy, but hot and delicious! After a long day at the zoo we were very happy to have such a wonderful dinner. Thank you! And kudos to Angie!
Shanta was an AMAZING waitress. The food was good like usual. She gave us enough time to decide what we wanted. She made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy being there. Would definitely go again!Food: 5/5
I have to have a big boy platter occasionally. The one on dixie closed. So this is the only show in town. If I hadn't been dying for a burger, I would have left! The speaker was on while I listened to the lady on the phone for 10 minutes! 15 more to get my food. And i was the only customer!! The coleslaw at this location tastes like the smell of the school dumpster when I was young. Fries cold as a cadaver. And not good like some places. The burger was delicious. The drive through looks like the book of Eli. Weeds head high. Desolate!! I hate this place! But, sadly, I know, I will be back.
This chain has gone way down hill from when I used to come to it as a young boy. I used to look forward to coming here! Now it's dilapidated! The grounds were atrociously littered with cigarette butts everywhere, and general litter seemingly just pushed to the edge of the fence and under so they can say it's not on their property. It is so obvious that it's swept or pushed there instead of being picked up. The service was horrible. Granted it was an old lady, she walked very slow and seemed to be the only waitress working. But when I was ready to order, I looked for her. Eventually she started walking towards me, but then sat down at the table next to me instead to CHAT with another older patron. I stared at her, and she met my stare several times, but didn't seem to get the hint that I was ready to order. I placed my hand on the menu she had provided, and finally she asked me if she had taken my order yet! When she did get up and take my order, she stood uncomfortably close looking over me. I ordered the turkey melt Platter and asked for a side of mayo, since she said they wouldnt put it on the sandwich itself. There was no side of mayo when she handed me the food, so I reminded her. I sat and sat waiting, but she never returned with my mayo. She finally came back out into the dining room and starting cleaning tables. I just gave up at that point and started eating. It was a small turkey club sandwich, and a very small portion of fries. I get larger sandwiches and more fries at other diners for less price! Nearly $9 for just the sandwich?! A ripoff, especially when they wouldn't even put mayo on it, and the waitress wouldn't even give me a side of mayo after reminding her twice! Finally, when I was done, I stood at the register for about 5 minutes while 3 different employees saw me standing there, until finally one came to cash me out. I guess this is goodbye to Big Boy. I will throw away the 6 inch Big Boy figurine statue I so prized as a boy.
Absolutely the BEST food, service and a great overall experience. We also had 2 breakfast bars. That was just the BEST we've had in a very long time. Thank you for remaining open. We love Frishes many great memories through the years. Parking: Very convenient spaces
I doordashed an order here for lunch. They forgot my side, which I paid for. I understand that the issues should be taken up with doordash, but they were unable to help me. As I tried to explain this on the phone to the lady at the restaurant, she got annoyed and eventually hung up on me. I got the super big boy combo. I had no lettuce or pickles on my burger which it is supposed to come with, and did not receive my side. Overall, a very poor experience that was not worth the money I paid.
I’m in town from Nashville for work and couldn’t decide where to eat all morning. I finally decided on this place and I am glad that I did. The food was fresh at the bar. The general manager Addie went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of and that my food was up to par. I winded up getting desert where even though the shake machine was down she still made me a shake and it was delicious.
I had higher expectations of the big boy franchise than what I experienced. First off, let me start by saying our server went over and above in taking care of us and bless her heart she was the only one working the floor. This location has seen better days. The furniture and flooring looked tired and worn and were in various states of uncleanness, but I can overlook this if it were not for the quality of food we received. My wife had chosen to eat from the salad bar, and I ordered from the menu. When she came back to the table, she described the sad state the salad bar was in, like mislabeled or missing items and the condition of the food in general like the soup nearly devoid of liquid it might have cooked all day long, the pasta being stiff as though it had set out for some time or the lettuce which she picked through to find some that wasn't turning brown. My meal wasn't much better. I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich with mashed potatoes and broccoli as my sides. The steak and cheese ended up being pretty much just steak as there was no discernable cheese on it, and the mashed potatoes and gravy were ice cold. Literally, they were colder than room temperature, which led me to believe they were pulled straight out of the refrigerator. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this particular restaurant anytime soon.
