Payments: A non refundable 50% deposit is required to secure your date. Deposits are due within 7 days of your quote. Quotes are valid for 30 days. Our prices may vary based on market prices. Once your deposit is paid your quote is locked in. If your deposit is not paid within the above time table your date will not be secure and will be open for other customers. Deposits may be paid by cash in person, check via mail (please see info below) or credit or debit over the phone. Please note there is a 3.5% processing fee for credit/debit card payments. Checks can be made payable to Kelly Haile and mailed to 223 Miller Farm Rd, Uniontown PA 15401. Please note any returned checks will be subject to a $25 returned check fee in addition to any incurred bank fees. Final payment for cakes is due 30 days before your event. If payment in full is not received 30 days in advance of your event, your cake(s) will be considered cancelled and any payments made will NOT be refunded. Your cake will not be baked, decorated, delivered or set up. If we do agree in advance to accept a late payment, it must be made in cash or credit card only. Please note Gift Certificates are not applicable towards wedding orders unless otherwise noted.
Other Fees: Additional set up fees may apply for any cakes needing assembly or decoration on site or cupcakes, cake pops, cookies or any other treats needing displayed.
We are always more than willing to decorate your cake with fresh or silk flowers or lay your flowers around the base of the cake at delivery. If you have a specific layout you should give us a sketch of exact placement. Flowers for the cake, table (or anywhere else) need to be provided by yourself or your florist. Flowers must be on site at the time of the cake delivery. Set up fees start at $15.
Upon delivery if a sturdy table is not provided we will not place the cake on anything we feel is not safe to set the cake on. You are responsible for providing a cake table that will be ready at the requested delivery time. If the table is to be covered or skirted this must be done before the scheduled delivery time. The table must be secure and level and should be able to support a minimum of 50 pounds. If the stand provided for the cake is not large enough or stable enough the cake Frosted Occasions reserves the right to not use the stand in order to insure the stability of the cake. Once we place the cake on the table and leave the venue we are no longer responsible for the cake.
If once at the site the cake topper or figurines do not seem stable enough to place on the cake, Frosted Occasions reserves the right to leave them off the cake in order to insure the structure and stability of the cake. Frosted Occasions is not responsible for any items added to the cake after delivery or any damage done to the cake once it is delivered and set up.
Design: I do attempt to create your cake as close as possible to your wishes however each cake is handmade and details are subject to artistic interpretation. It is your responsibility to make sure your wishes are clearly stated, inspiration pictures attached, fabric swatches attached, no later than 2 weeks before your event. If you provide an inspiration photo for inspiration please note we make no claims for exact duplication of work done by another decorator.
It is understood that any items brought into Frosted Occasions Cakes to be added on a cake for decoration is to be used at the bakery’s discretion. It is understood that any ribbon added to the cake will darken in color due to the butter content in the icing. Satin ribbon with no wire works best on wedding cakes. Ribbon that is added to a tiered cake will be provided by the couple unless the bakery agrees to supply ribbon.
Refunds/Store Credit: Due to the handcrafted and tedious nature of our products we do not issue refunds for any reason. If you are unhappy with your cake you may either decline at delivery or pick up for a store credit. Store credit is valid for 90 days. Please note you can not accept the cake and receive store credit. Once a cake has been picked up and left our premises it is considered “accepted”.
Additional Notes: Our company will not provide cakes when other cakes, cupcakes, or cake pops provided by another baker without our consent. We have a reputation for providing beautiful and delicious cakes and treats and feel it would be unfair to us and your guests if they assume another baker’s work is ours. If upon delivery we determine other sweets are being served without our consent we reserve the right to remove our products without refund.
Performance of this agreement is contingent upon the ability of Frosted Occasions to complete the agreement with the Client, and is subject to labor troubles, disputes or strikes; accidents; food, beverage, or other supplies/suppliers; Acts of God; and other causes beyond Frosted Occasions Cake’s control.
