Ft. Steuben Burial Estates

The Mausoleum has DEPLORABLE conditions for a funeral service . No air conditioning with indoor temps. above 90 • with many guests feeling faint, no chairs for guests , and flies on my mother's corpse because the doors are kept open because of the heat . I was told "Corporate" has been notified time after time and will not fix the problems . They have no trouble taking your money but don't provide what they should for grieving families .

Staff was very attentive of our family's needs

I am disgusted and appalled by the customer service and treatment I received from Fort Steuben Burial Estates. I visit my grandparents and parents grave/mausoleum 1-2 times a year. I live out of town and hope that when I purchase flowers twice a year for my grandparent’s grave and parents’ mausoleum that they are actually placed accordingly on the gravesites. I was shocked to visit this weekend and find that no flowers were on my grandparent’s gravesite. It appeared they were never put there. I immediately called and left a message for the office to call me Monday to find out why this had not happened. At approximately 2:30 pm today, Monday, 6/16, I called to find out why I did not receive an update on this. The employee who answered the phone name left out was immediately defensive and very rude to me. Yes, a person representing loved ones at their cemetery. She went on to say that she did not know why the flowers were not there. They have had thefts and “things” come up missing in the cemetery. She also said they may have blown away. This excuse was used two years prior as well. It turns out they did not have the flowers out yet, they were late. I went on to tell her that this is not acceptable and I will continue to pursue this until a more appropriate answer is given. If I pay for a service, I expect the service to be provided. Once again, this was in poor taste and absolutely terrible customer service from someone in this type of position. If this is her standard protocol for treating grieving customers – WOW!!! How is this acceptable – EVER???

Beautiful Cemetery. The staff is so kind and caring. I highly recommend Ft Steuben Cemetery.

Very well maintained and nicely taken care of. The groundskeepers are very nice, helpful,an very friendly and they do their jobs professionally well.
