A project funded by the U.S. Department of Education (AANAPISI), the Full Circle Project (FCP for short) is the first program to address the diverse needs and interests of Sacramento State's Asian American/Pacific Islander student population.
The Full Circle Project is a comprehensive approach by California State University, Sacramento (Sacramento State), the Department of Ethnic Studies and the Asian American Studies program to implement a strategically focused, campus-wide effort to improve retention and graduation rates of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students. The Full Circle Project aims to assist AAPI students throughout his or her entire college careers, and provide ample opportunities to engage in service both on and off campus to enhance their university experience.
The Mission of the Full Circle Project is to provide a student-centered approach to steadily increase the graduation rates of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students through academic support, intentional student organization and leadership opportunities, and meaningful community engagement.
The goals of the Full Circle Project are to: (1) increase AAPI freshman and AAPI transfer graduation rates by at least 10 percent; (2) increase the number and percentage of AAPIs engaged in Student Organization & Leadership programs to equal the percentage of AAPI undergraduate students at Sacramento State; (3) enhance and expand service learning opportunities for AAPI students through our nationally recognized 65th Corridor Community Collaboration Project; and (4) institutionalize comprehensive data gathering on AAPIs at Sacramento State and throughout the CSU system.
