All the funeral directors were so nice and helpful with the passing of my dad. I specifically worked with Sophie she was so helpful and amazing. The only reason I'm giving a 4 star is because any time I called and it was not Sophie or a funeral director, the girl that answered the phone on the weekend was really rude. That is unacceptable, especially because families that are going through an extremely devastating moment in their life and should not have to deal with rude customer service. That part was really disappointing.

When our father passed away in October, my brother and I used the services of Funeral Alternatives in Centralia for our father's cremation.  Sophie's warm and caring demeanor was exactly what we needed during this difficult time.  She was attentive to our needs and she took the time to answer all of our questions. We were extremely pleased with the services provided by Funeral Alternatives of WA and we could not have asked for anything better.

Funeral Alternatives was extremely helpful, kind and compassionate. Sofia listened to what I wanted and explained in detail, any questions I had. All services were exactly as promiced, good pricing with no hidden charges.  The follow up and follow through was appreciated.

This is the 2nd. time Funeral Alternatives helped us making end of life arrangements.  Sophie was so kind and caring both times.  I have recommended them to friends and will continue to recommend them.

I have made arrangements via Funeral Alternatives for both of my parents and could not be more pleased.   Very decent and just the opposite of the predatory funeral home where my grandmother was bid farewell.  Here, simple arrangements are possible, and not shamed or discouraged.   Unnecessary charges and fees are not part of their business, and decency has been the hallmark of all my interactions.   Highly highly recommended by a return customer!

I was very impressed with the way my mother’s funeral was handled. I had the honor of working with Jake and Bill. They were extremely understanding and very professional. My concerns became their concerns. The lever of care, comfort and support was truly amazing. I appreciated everything about this place and it’s staff. I definitely would go back and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their services. Btw, they are crazy affordable and you won’t regret it.

My mom passed away unexpectedly a week ago and we were lost. From the beginning Funeral Alt of Washington Centralia branch has been amazing! From the attendant who picked my mom up from the hospital for transport who called me and told me she had my mama and was taking good care of her to the people on the phone are so kind. Sophi has been such a blessing! She has walked us through every step patiently and with so much kindness. She was so gentle and informative but never pushy. Every step she has been amazing! This has been the hardest planning of our lives! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING FUNERAL ALTERNATIVES :

Rep felt robotic explaining same thing twice and giving me same paper packet like I didn’t receive it the first time, information/pricing provided was slightly higher than quoted. When doing the obituary my brother asked if we could modify a sentence to add in an additional statement and the response back was “An almost identical statement is already in the posted obituary so I’m not adding anything else”. No collaboration to allow a modified sentence at all! This to me seemed very cold.  Time frame for cremation was longer than expected/told. When calling for an update on the cremation since it had been over 2 weeks and the service was quickly approaching I was told the ashes were given to someone else who picked them up. Then I was told they had to do some research and would call me back on who picked him up.  They called me back and stated it was an error that the new person looked at the wrong file; they verified his full name with me how are you looking at the wrong file? I was told they would get me the ashes the next day as apparently they just cremated my dad the day before. When I went to get the ashes his belongings were not present I asked about his items that the corner said we’re given to the funeral home and they were at a different office in a safe. If I had not asked would they even have said anything? Idk… my experience with them telling me they gave my dad to someone else who picked him up has been on my mind everyday. What if this is not my dads ashes, what if I have someone else’s ashes? I would never recommend to anyone due to my personal devastating experience!

We used Funeral Alternatives of Washington for my late Father in 2018 and recently my Mother.  To an employee, they were kind, thoughtful, helpful, friendly, professional and responsive.  I would definitely use them again.  Really great people!

Funeral Altenatives was exactly the right place to choose for the final arrangements for our mother. Every person we talked to had answers for us, and were also caring, kind and helpful. They have also communicated well and kept both my sister and I well informed, even though we live in different states. The prices are affordable, yet nothig is done "cheaply". I also appreciated the "Guide to Unfinished Business". There are so many things to remember during this time, and the guide is very helpful to make sure nothing is missed. They also have a template for an obituary, which helps with all of the information you need for a good quality obituary. I would recommend Funeral Alternatives of Washington to anyone who needs this kind of service.
