Furniture Weekend Plus Story

Furniture Weekend Plus opened in July of 1994 and we have been a family owned and operated business for over 20 years. The store originally was only opened on the weekends, Friday to Sunday, to save our customers money on their home furnishings and accessories needs. Our store motto was “We’re Open Less – To Save You More”. Thanks to our loyal customers over the years our store has grown and we are now open 7 days a week operating under the same principle of saving you money.
Our spacious showroom enables our customers to see our inventory first hand. We are a low pressure furniture store, so you can relax while you shop. Our courteous and experienced sales staff makes furniture buying a fun and easy experience. We are dedicated and believe in offering you the best possible pricing, quality and service for all your home furnishing and accessory needs.
Furniture Weekend Plus carries a full line of upholstered living rooms, recliners, lift chairs, dining rooms, bedroom sets, mattresses and all other accessories for your home. We carry name brands from Ashley, La-Z-Boy, England, Best, Ultra Comfort, Symbol and Simmons Beauty Rest.
Furniture Weekend Plus is now opened 7 days a week Monday to Thursday 10:00am to 5:00pm, Friday 10:00am to 8:00pm, Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday 11:00am to 5:00pm. A friend in her 80s bought a reclining chair for $1000 and found that she is allergic to it. The store will not take it back for exchange, even though she had it only one day. Do not but from this store.
The couch they delivered sags alot . We contacted the BBB and Attorney Generals office . They said all they can do is contact them and give them notice. After son came out and confirmed it was defective, said he would tell his father. 6 weeks later still no call back. Called them 2 wks. ago said the week of 2/21 .Called for exact date . Said maybe March. We got a lawyer involved . Now let's see what happens!
Not a good experience regarding repair. After waiting 3 months for a replacement part was told it would be another 3 months. After a phone call to the company I was told the parts were never ordered. Also was told the part would only take one week to get. Sadly I would not recommend buying anything that may require repairs.
The gentleman was very helpful. Furniture, an excellent quality. I do have an odd experience, only brought on by owners rules apparently, carried out by sales person. I needed to use the restroom. I saw it and as I was about to close door, the sales associate told me customer restroom was next door over. I thought it was the customer one as it had sign and was clean and nice. He sent me to one without a sign and upon entering saw it was dirty with cleaning supplies and brooms,etc.. I was disgusted at best as the bathroom that was clearly for customers wasn't broken. Door was ajar and no sign of its not being useable. I found a lovely la-z-boy set there. Did I mention I didn't buy it? This would not have been my first la-z-boy furniture purchase. I just bought a house and had sold all of my previous furniture. I was replacing with what I got from sold furniture. This store is not near a gas station with a restroom, nor was there a sign on door. Had there been I would not have gone in as I had surgery and have had to use restroom more since. Not a good experience.
I just got my new chair delivered and installed and though it was delivered a week earlier than expected, they did an awesome job. Very polite, friendly and professional delivery men, well worth the delivery fee.
Great selection, excellent customer service. We bought a chair for our Mom , she didn't "love" it, they allowed us to return it for one she could pick out! Above and beyond...And we bought a beautiful tv stand with a fireplace in it!
After a phone call just heard between my wife and Dave there. I am very disappointed in their business practices. We used to be loyal customers spending thousands there and we will never shop there again. We were told things were in and they were waiting for the rest to deliver. Today is delivery day 6 weeks later of a very large order, missing the crucial piece a mattress. Now with family in town where do they sleep? The professional way my wife spoke asking if there was anything that could be done and the snickering/lack of care and finger pointing from the boss there was unprofessional. I am in customer service for my work and I would expect disciplinary actions for the handling by him. Please be cautious buying here as it was a very unpleasant experience.
Bought an expensive power recliner in May. Last night something under the chair broke in the reclining mechanism. I called this morning and the young lady was a bit rude. She said someone would have to look at it. She said he would call back. I asked who "he" would be n I could hear her say to someone else "why is she asking his name". I said you are being rude I can hear you n then the phone went dead. I called back n said. You hung up on me. n she said it was the phone. No apology for the hang up.. it's been abt 3 hrs now n no call back.
We had a problem with a recliner and David did his best to arrange for the repair at a very reasonable price. He was very 'hands on' in trying to address the problem. He is definitely concerned about his customers. Thank you, David, we're very pleased.
I recently ordered a mattress set through Sales Representative Jeff St. Louis. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. The set was delivered on time and was exactly what we wanted. Great company with friendly staff!!
