Four Areas of Ministry
Because we are a being comprised of several parts (mind, body, soul and spirit) we feel obligated to minister to the entire person of each of our youth.
BODY: The physical structure of a person. The area which connects us to our body. We will minister to our youth in the area of the body through RECREATION.
Recreation will consist but not be limited to some of the following:
• Sport events: basketball, volleyball, kickball, bowling
• Entertainment: skating, laser-tag, relays,
• Work-out: Zumba, Insanity
• Dancing: Stepping, line dancing, hip hop
• Dance Ministry
SOUL: A person's moral or emotional nature or sense of identity. You possesses a soul. The area which connects us to our self. We will minister to our youth in the area of the soul through MOTIVATION.
Motivation will consist but not be limited to the following:
• PHAT Fridays – Every 4th Friday
• 5th Quarter – After ever football game
• Swaggbook – Online social network
• Step team
• Drum line
MIND: The principle of intelligence. This area is also connected to the soul. The area which connects us to learning. We will minister to our youth in the area of the mind through EDUCATION.
Motivation will consist but not be limited to the following:
• SAT and ACT preparation
• F.O.C.U.S. – Saturday Study group
• J & G Honor Role – Reward for maintaining honor-role a school year
• SWAGG Scholarships
SPIRIT: The nonphysical part of a person. You are a spirit. The area which connects us to God. We will minister to our youth in the area of the mind through INSPIRATION.
Inspiration will consist but not be limited to the following:
• SWAGG Takeover – 4th Sundays
• Keepin’-it-100 – Tuesday Nights
• SWAGG School – Sunday Morning
• Dance Ministry

To see those disconnected from God:
• PLUGGED into His family (evangelism),
• PREPARED to live life for Him (discipleship),
• PARTNERED with others in life-giving relationships (fellowship),
• PLEASING God in words and actions (worship), and
• PROCLAIMING God’s love through their gifts and talents (ministry).
