Marisa was fabulous..walked and talked us through Galatea's incredible selection of wines. The processes that enhance the taste, the aging and next thing you know we have 6 bottles of the 'good stuff'! Waived the tasting fee and gave us great recommendations for lunch and estates to visit. Stop here first when in downtown sonoma!
Love these wines. Tasting room in the Sonoma square is relaxed, fun and a solid taste. You can do walk ups but best to make reservations.
We are in for our 10 year Anniversary and happened upon this gem in downtown Sonoma. Gigi gave us an excellent tasting and we loved all of their red wines. The hardest part was figuring out how many bottles to take with us! Plus, she had amazing recommendations for our visit in Sonoma. I highly recommend trying them if you are are looking for a great tasting experience!!
The wine was amazing! Love the fact that it is small production and you can only get it from the one store front. Charlotte was full of energy and made the whole experience fun. It truly seems that she believes in the wine and the company. Would recommend going to visit this winery even if it is just for a tasting. Can’t wait to get our wine delivery!
My wife and I enjoy different wines but by no means are experts. So we decided to take a trip to the Napa/Sonoma valleys to sample and tour the area. However, a priority of the trip was educational. We wanted to understand why certain wines tasted the way they did. We joined a walking food and wine tour that ended at Galatea Effect. This is were we met the most amazing young woman Charlotte. If I were rating the wine I would give Galatea 5 stars. Ring of Fire was our favorite. The atmosphere and tasting experience would be a 5 also. However, Charlotte went above and beyond any expectation we may have had. I would have expected our server to be patient or tolerant of our novice questions. With every question we asked, Charlotte got more exited to explain the answers to our questions. Answers she new from growing up on a winery and was clearly still passionate about the art form of wine making. Joel , she spoke very highly of you and how you’re attention to every detail creates a wonderful experience for everyone who opens a bottle of Galatea Effect wine. congratulations on giving us an unforgettable experience. btw my wife wants to know we’re to get a bicycle wine bottle holder.

Great wines and good service. Each wine on the tasting menu was unique and enjoyable. The staff was friendly and happy to chat between pours while giving recommendations for things to see and do around town.
Always a personalized and cozy visit to Galatea, somehow still an under the radar absolute GEM in Sonoma. Wines are unbelievably good, even their few whites!!
Very nice service and space, but the wine simply wasn’t worth the cost. We foolishly sat down prior to realizing that a tasting is $30!!! per person. To be clear, the wine wasn’t bad, just mediocre.
Do yourself a favor and don’t miss this powerful Little tasting room when your next on the Sonoma Plaza. My favorite is the GSM and Pinot. Most of the guests On my tour love the Syrah for which they are known. This is one of the best red wine stops you can make.
