I have used galaxy self park twice in the past 3 months. Five star experience both times. They answer their phones quickly, pick you up quickly to the airport, and the shuttles from the airport were there immediately both times I flew and after 10pm. As a young woman traveling alone, the most recent driver made a point to lookout for my safety and waited until I was in my car, with it started, before driving away. I really appreciated this. They take you right to your car and the parking lot at galaxy is easy to navigate and clearly marked. It is also a very reasonable price. I will definitely keep using galaxy self park. I have always felt safe while using these services and as though it is well run.
I just got back from vacation after leaving my car here for 8 days and wanted to post a review right away so I wouldn't forget. I was worried about getting in at 4am last week, but had no problem finding a spot and catching a very prompt shuttle ride to my terminal. I called their main line while waiting for my luggage when I returned to BDL this evening - the shuttle showed up right as I was walking outside. There was no waiting involved! Got dropped off by my car, discovered that my battery had died and called the same number again. They said security was called to come help. The shuttle actually came by again a minute or two later and the driver stopped to confirm that someone was on their way. My car was jumped and ready to go within the next 15 minutes, and the security agent was kind enough to offer me to sit and wait in his warm car. Everyone working for this company seemed very friendly and professional. I'm super happy with my experience and will absolutely keep using their services. PS. It had snowed a couple times during these 8 days and the Galaxy self park crew also lived up to the promise of clearing the snow off your car. Well worth the price!
We parked at Galaxy for a week, and I guess you get what you pay for. Pickup service to the airport was slow but fine anticipate it taking up to 45 minutes to get to the airport, despite the lot being a mile away. The biggest problem came with pickup when we returned - our flight came in at 11:15 pm and we were instructed to call the shuttle when we landed and had our bags. The line was busy so we tried again until we connected with someone, who told us the shuttle was already on its way. The shuttle arrived ~15 minutes later, only to find out that one of their drivers called out and they had no backup drivers. The shuttles only have a capacity of about 10-15 people so we were told my party me, husband, and three year old would have to wait for the next shuttle, which would take an extra 30 minutes. At this point, we’re approaching midnight and my kid doesn’t have it in her to wait an extra half hour at the airport so we used the cab service nearby. $18 later, we make it to the lot, and upon paying, we were charged an extra day because we left the lot at 12:08 am which, to be clear, would not have happened if their shuttle was operating normally!. Including the cab fare and the the extra day of parking, we ended up paying an additional $24. If you’re traveling with a more patient crowd than small kids, it’s an overall inconvenient experience, and still might be worth the money if you can wait 30+ minutes for a shuttle. With kids, I wouldn’t recommend.
Recent changes in personnel went from 5 stars to 1 star! I've used Galaxy for about 10 years and have recommended them to friends and family. But their shuttle service and response was horrible last week. The first sign of trouble was the phone ringing for a long time before the booth picked up. We were in the back lot with 2 other cars waiting for the shuttle to get us and could see the booth and the person inside. There was no reason for them to not pick up. The return leg should have been better but it was worse. We called from Bradley at 9:45 pm for pickup and the phone rang 14 times before being answered. We then waited for 20 minutes for the shuttle. In the meantime we watched shuttles from other companies come by TWICE. We called several times to get an update and they never picked up again. The driver claimed loudly the booth didn't tell him to get us and it was not his fault. As we left the deserted parking lot, we watched 2 shuttle drivers standing by the exit laughing and goofing around while the booth attendant watched TV. The final insult was showing AAA for a discount and seeing a full rate on the receipt when we got home. Stay away! You have been warned. Goodbye Galaxy!
Wanted to leave a review to offset all of the bad ones because I truly believe those might've been isolated events. Parking is cheaper than most places, they've never been completely out of space to park, and the shuttle comes right to you and drops you off right at your car. Upon returning, I don't think I've ever waited longer than 10-15 minutes for the shuttle to arrive to take me back to my car. The only questionable thing I would say is the price per day. For one trip I left at 7pm on a friday and returned at 4pm on sunday but was charged for 3 full days. Not sure exactly how it works but it's still pretty cheap compared to most places.
I parked my car early Sunday morning.....somehow forgot to put the drivers window up in my jeep. When I returned yesterday after 4 days of travel, there was a plastic bag placed over my door, protecting my car from the elements. Nice touch Galaxy! Apparently security noticed it and took it upon themselves to protect my vehicle. Would definitely use this service again! -Neil
My 5-star review is because THE PRICE is RIGHT! When traveling, the parking has to be part of the travel budget too. The fee is calculated from the date/time stamp on the ticket you get from the machine at the gate, NOT the calendar day you arrived. Easy to calculate, add in the gasoline surcharge, and don't forget about the horrible sales taxes 16.5%! at Bradley Airport!!! However, it works out to be a pretty good price, around 8 bucks daily, which is great considering how close the lot is to the Airport itself. I've found that it's more difficult to catch the shuttle during peak periods, due to lots of people and their stuff cramming the shuttle. We divide, and conquer! One of us calls the shuttle immediately, and goes to the car in order to spring it from the lot right away. I've gotten stuck paying for an extra day, which stinks. Plus, the cashier in the booth doesn't have any say in how the fees are assessed, so they have to go by what's on the ticket. The other half waits for the luggage, and then calls me when they have it, so I can meet them curbside. It's a couple of extra steps, but it beats 'waiting for the next shuttle'! The wait times for shuttles really do depend upon customer demand...the drivers do their best, but have to unload each party at their vehicle, and assist them with their luggage, so it can take time. If you want FAST, pay to Valet park your car. If you want CHEAP, get dropped off and picked up at Bradley. If you want REASONABLY PRICED, CLOSE, AND COURTEOUS EMPLOYEES, park at Galaxy!! In winter, they clear the snow off the cars in the lot, too! Also, the drivers appreciate, but don't require, tips!
This guys are the best, fast and great!!! It's my second time that I park here , all the stuff is friendly , the shuttles are in just minutes and u can't beat the best price!! They even cleaned the snow from my car !! Yesterday my car battery was dead when I returned from my trip and they was helping me for almost an hour till they was sure that I can drive safe back home. I will definitely return here and I will recommend it . Thank u!!!
Very convenient. We didn’t even have to call after 10 to be picked up. Our super friendly driver was already waiting for us. Brought us right to our car, carried our bags and even gave us bottles of water. Will definitely use the Parking Spot again.
Terrific service. If it snows, they clean off your car. I parked there for a weekend recently, and had left my windows only slightly cracked so that my car wouldn't melt in the heat. When I got back, they had stuffed my windows with trash bags so that rain water wouldn't get in. The bus to drive you to the airport will follow you as you park so that you get to your terminal as quickly as possible. You simply give them a call when you land and they'll be there within a few minutes. AND, it's even cheaper than the Bradley parking lots. There is no reason not to use them.
