I showed up with my 5 and 2 year old who both do not know how to swim and they don’t allow life vest?????? It’s a public pool and they won’t permit children who can’t swim their safety and floating devices. Absolutely ridiculous. Bathrooms are dirty and lifeguards don’t care and are unhelpful. Bottom line, if you have children who can’t swim, better go elsewhere so you can relax and feel at peace your children are safe.
My boy just loves coming up here. The guards are nice and friendly. Gotta come early if u want a lounge chair but besides that pack a lunch n blankets n have a good time
An honest review from a mom of 5 who is not a Karen as my teenage boys say Pros: Affordable for our family of 6 it cost $15 best price around Slide/Water fountain/ Baby pool 2-3 feet options are helpful with young children Cons: Pool does not allow food but has a concessions? this seemed very silly They do not allow any type of floatation device or life vest seems more dangerous as my two littles are not strong swimmers Life guards are not exactly friendly but hey if I was a teenager working there I probably wouldn’t be either. All in all we had a great time. Also, should mention the deep end was closed and our teenagers were bummed . But that’s life
It was all good till fights happened and kids started smoking the staff needs to pay more attention and especially the life guards they let so much slide I’m tired of going and kids do this and that but no punishment because the life guards are friends with them
Good place for the kids to gather...they have a nice children's area. We enjoy the summer there.
Price was great, pool was clean and warm water! Enjoyed the gated baby pool with 2 under 2! 8 year old was upset she was just a little too short ymyo go down the slide. Didnt see concessions, if there was any i missed it. Bathrooms could definitely use more stalls/changing areas. Next to big park!
Prices are great. Pool hours are great. There could be some updates since nothing seems to have changed since the pool opened about 30 years ago. It's time to add some modern poolside tables with umbrellas and maybe some kiddie slides. I watched as a couple of the young female lifeguards became quite distracted by young Male admirers and felt as though they needed to pay more attention to the small children in the pool. However, the pool is a really nice place for kids.
Man, this pool is GREAT!!
We tried this pool for the first time today. I did not see the cleaning/sterilizing taking place every 20 minutes like it said on the website to ensure safety. I saw a lifeguard once walk by 1 bench and spray it and keep walking. We were there for 2 hours and never once saw anyone wipe down the hand rails for the slide or anything else we planned on staying longer, but felt the need to leave. Also, some teenagers were throwing a football in the large grassy area where people were sitting/laying out...throwing it over their heads and our heads...a tiny girl maybe 4 years old got hit with the football in the back...and the teenagers proceeded to keep going...no employee from the pool stopped them or asked them to move to a place where there were no people. A guy in a blue work shirt providing ice to the lifeguards possibly a manager? was watching them and never said a word. Kids were hanging from the shaded picnic area awning and using that area as a jungle jim...I'm all for kids having a good time...but there are some things that need to be wrangled and controlled for the sake of injuries and respect for others who have paid for entry! We will not ever be returning. It was not an enjoyable experience!
This local attraction is a popular summer location when the days get hot. The diving board, the twisty slide, and the kiddie pools provide access for all age and swimming skill ranges. Plus, the covered seating allows for enjoying the outdoors while in the shade.
