Gallery 1C03 presents art exhibitions and other programming and preserves the University of Winnipeg's art collection.
Gallery 1C03 shows work in a variety of media that deals with questions of history, politics, technology, feminism, sexuality, and ethnicity, among other issues intersecting with various programs of study at the University.
Typically, Gallery 1C03 highlights work by contemporary Manitoban and Canadian artists; however, we have presented some historical shows and exhibited work by international artists on occasion.
To support our exhibitions, we also present artist talks, panel discussions, tours and other events.
Gallery 1C03, a public art gallery at The University of Winnipeg, engages diverse communities through the development and presentation of contemporary and historical art exhibitions and related programming initiatives. The Gallery is also
responsible for the development, preservation and presentation of the University’s permanent art collection.
