Love this store!! One of the best places for English tack in the area. I live in Eugene and drive up a few times a year to get outfitted. The staff is friendly and personable. I needed a new helmet recently and one of the staff spent 2 hours making sure I got a safe fit. You can also get custom items if you need. I feel like a million bucks after shopping there. I love how it is dog friendly as well. Wonderful experience!!
We went into Gallops looking to buy all new riding gear for my wife. Could not get service, she is new to English riding. I had planned on spending 2500 or more to get her fully outfitted. We are going to go down to Salem and spend our $ at Double H instead, even though they have less of a selection for English riding gear.
This place is so much fun to go to. The staff obviously enjoy helping English and Dressage riders alike find what they need to succeed in the arena. They're priced a little steep compared to other similar stores, but they carry higher quality brands and they're located in a more affluent part of the Valley, so they get a pass for that.
I have loved Gallops for 20 years! I first discovered the store when I moved with my parents from Nashville to Portland, and I’ve been coming here ever since! The quality of their products is hard to beat, the prices are on target, the staff are knowledgeable and helpful, their mobil store is set up at the shows, and the main store itself has a lot of visual appeal. I’ve taken family and friends who are not horse people here and even they are impressed. Keep up the good work Gallops, you are very appreciated!
Great selection and very helpful staff aho are knowledgeable about the products they sell. Special kudos to Lillian who helped me find the perfect fitting helmet.
I didn't get a chance to go inside, but these deals seemed good for riding wear. They had several sizes of clothes, perhaps cut smaller than casual clothing, but from someone who knows nothing about horses or riding, they look like good clothes for a lower price....hence only a 3 score. Oh, they are behind Carl's Jr, next to State Farm and Mary Jane's house of Glass. Plenty of parking spots.
The employees are absolutely helpful and kind. I came into the store and they quickly helped me find what i needed. They understood my budget and made it all work for me! Definitely 5 stars and will be going back soon!
Amazing service and product knowledge with all the sales people. They spent 1.5 hours helping us fit a helmet correctly and half chaps. Couldn't get that kind of service from a catalogue! Love this place!
Amazing customer service as usual. Had what I needed. I found it so quickly I forced myself to browse. Only wish I had a few more $ to spend. Love shopping small business.
I visited here while I was in town visiting family. The ladies here are amazing! They were so nice, patient and helpful picking out my paddock boots and half chaps. They answered my questions and made me feel welcome. Thanks for your help!
