I'd say it's nice and fun place to take your family but... Not in a rude way, there is a LOT of homeless people who bathe in the fountain, which makes it not a fun place to be. There's been used needles found there. It's not that safe.
Absolutely disgusted by this park. Little homeless encampments everywhere, people passed out, washing themselves in the fountain and bothering people. Smell was horrible. I'm sure it was once a very nice park but not right now it isn't.
Beautiful park with a spray park for the kids. Lots of big trees and beautiful flowers. Washrooms and picnic tables on site. Well maintained. It was packed this weekend with muscle cars show n' shine for Street Wheeler Weekend. Such a great time. Lethbridge weather is usually quite warm making for great picnic weather and this park is a great place to take the kids. Lots of open area with green grass. Great for kids outdoor activities.
This 2022 Street Wheelers Car Show is bigger than last year, lots of new cars it was awesome
Was a good place for my little spawn devils to get some sun and water. No one bothered us here. The only thing I was worried about was needles and pipes as I did see one walking through the grass but just stayed close to the spray park didn’t roll in the hay so to speak.
Great car show. You really don’t want to miss this show. Great collection of retro cars
If the water was warmer this would be our favorite summer spot. The beautiful lit fountain is an oasis in the heart of Lethbridge.
For one positive to say it's a very nice looking park however it's overrun with junkies and drunks. There are constantly paramedics on site because of people OD'ing and they shoot up right in front of anybody they want and fist fights between drunk people and constant harassment by people who don't know better who go here. There are discarded needles in the grass and people constantly get harassed and mugged here because of the egregious amount of junkies and drunks. I don't know why police just don't hang out there 24/7 and fill up their jail cells. It's such a disgrace on the city but that's exactly what downtown LA is this is the epitome of our own skid row. If I could give this park a negative rating I would.
One of the worst parks I have ever been in, I have never felt so uncomfortable somewhere with my kids before, I didn't want them touching anything so we left swiftly. There were numerous people injecting themselves with needles under trees, people clearly off their faces on drugs - which was scary to look at, trash EVERYWHERE - even blood stained tissues left on tables - I do not recommended it and I will NEVER go back.
Nice to have green space downtown for events and festivals. Parking is okay. However it rarely feels like a safe spot to take the family for a picnic or enjoy the spray park. Lots of folk call the park home and aren't shy about asking for change or using substances.
