This place is not worth it, no wonder game stop is dying. I pre-ordered Hogwarts Legacy. The game was not supposed to come out until the 10th, unbeknownst to me the deluxe came out 3 days early. So when I come in on the release date, they SOLD my PREORDERED game! Isn't the point of preordering? to reserve my copy? just go digital or Amazon if you want the disc, there's no more charm in buying from this store anymore.
Upon entering the store, I was the only customer in this business. I wasn't greeted, searched for my desired items for a minute or two. The employee then asked what I was looking for and I simply stated, "Nintendo Switch Lite." His response, "you don't want to buy that." I said, "as a matter of fact, I do." I explained I was Christmas shopping for a 3 and 6 year old. We spend a ton of time on the road, etc, etc. I told him I needed two, 1 pink and 1 blue. He told me he only had one color and I didn't want to buy them that day, but rather wait until Black Friday. The justifications for my desire to purchase that day continued, but resulted in him telling me he only had one color in stock and recommended I go elsewhere, Target to be specific. This location must be thriving to turn away a $400+ purchase. I've never been more shocked or surprised by a store's employee.
Horrible customer service at this store. The manager Erik emp: number 569985. Lied to me 3 times. Also instead of refunding me a remote control I just bought the day before. Which was broke. Used my warranty to swap it out for a new one. Which I asked him not to. So he said I still had the warranty that I paid extra for. The was the first one. So I looked to see when I left for my warranty. It was not on the receipt, so I called the store he said that the Cadillac store knows and will handle it. Which was not true . Cause I called that store.amd of course , They did not know what I was talking about.. He also even over sees the Cadillac store. Mac emp: number 633502 is the best employee they had at the traverse city store.
I don’t know their names, but the peeps working in the afternoon on 9/12 were great! Friendly and funny, those two should get a raise. I was only in there for 5 minutes, but I left with a smile.
Power to the players! GME stock is cheap right now get em before it takes off
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I usually just go for the Funko Pops, but sometimes for gaming.
Good prices on gamer gear, good pleasantly service.
They are great company and I just wish they had more in stocks this Xmas year. I would give it 4 stars but I understand it isn't the employees fault.
I can't remember the name of the King Nerd in charge when I went here, but he was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Friendly staff, great location.
