Recycled Garden Art
I love all types of art. Watercolor painting, jewelry making, especially sea glass or tumbled agate wrapped in wire, yard art, sculptures and garden whimsies. The look of the sun reflecting off of a piece of colored glass or colored glass bead has always inspired me to combine the two.
After working on several pieces of jewelry for various friends and fund raisers, I wanted to do more. I wanted to work with colored glass but in a larger scale that could be used in the garden.
After many hours of digging through "free" piles, yard sales and thrift stores, I've found you can create wonderful garden sculptures and "yard art" with beautiful reclaimed and "recycled" dishes, plates, bowls, tea pots, etc. With the help and inspiration from one of my favorite websites, I've found my new passion! Now it is Jewelry on the rainy days and Garden Art creation on the sunny days. Hope you Enjoy!
