Garland Brook Cemetery

Order my loved ones marker on August 17th, was promised 6-8 weeks for its arrival and set. It’s November 10th and I was just told that it may be on the next shipment on November 25th but they can not make any guarantees. When asked what they were going to do to correct the situation we were just told I’m sorry! Over $4500 later for a piece of stone in the ground and all we get is I am sorry and it might be this date. Sincere and poor excuse of a business for certain.

Sadly, this cemetery has gone downhill over the last couple years. Grounds maintenance is now subcontracted out to some external company - see a lot more damage to grave markers. this crew is also much more obtrusive - bringing in multiple employee vehicles. these guys have no problem blocking visitors cars parked on the grounds why in a virutally empty cememtery they have to block parked cars is a mystery. Also find some homeless sleeping on the grounds, people in parked cars sleeping one off or shooting up - not exactly what one would expect in a small town cemetery. most recently, some guy in a white pickup truck followed us out of the parking lot and tailed our vehicle half way across town even through several turns. Finally got him to break off by pulling into a parking lot with security patrols. Have had other visitors come up to us and complain about toys, etc. left on family members graves being stolen. If you value your own safety, you might consider another resting place for your loved ones.

All in all a nice place. I understand its large and it must be hard to mow around all the headstones however so many have been knocked out of place especially in the older areas.

well maintained, and the ladies who manage the office are always pleasant and helpful when you are trying to. find a burial plot.
