I just started using them a few months ago. So far they have been awful. They dont fallow through. One example is when my doctor sends the prescription in and I call them to tell them to deliver it they say ok and then I dont get the delivery so I call them and they tell that they have to order it. Why not say that and order when I call ti gave them deliver it? And there has been a few other instances. So far I do not reccomend them They definitely do not have good communication skills. Hopefully this will change so I wont have to look fir another pharmacy.
Garro's is a family owned and operated business in the city of Utica located at 430 bleecker st. They offer free delivery for medications.
My son needed new tubing for his albuterol kit. My doctor sent his medicine to another pharmacy, and told me she had to call me back to send a prescription for the tubing to another pharmacy. She called back and told me Garro’s. I went after work, and i told them what i was there for. The owner asked me “so you have the kit? You have the medicine? So you’re coming to me for a 2 cent tubing then” then had me wait for the items. I stood aside and another patron asked a question about his doctor having to do with sending prescriptions. The owner told him “tell him he needs to learn how to use a computer, just because he's a new doctor doesnt give him an excuse.. im kidding not, tell him to write it down on paper”. And so when i got my items i told him i will get my materials someplace else if he feels he isnt making a profit off of the materials. I would have told my doctor to send both there in the future, but now that will not happen. Respect goes a long way and the customers keep the business open. Please remember that. Being rude for no good reason does nothing for a business.
I have been a memeber of this pharmacy for four years. Everyone is so nice they definitely go above and beyond to help their members. In the four years that I have been a member here I never once have had an issue. I am a bit forgetful and if I dont remember when a medication is due. I'll have a knock on my door and it will be delivered. So thank you Garros staff you guys are awesome. HUGE THANK YOU GOD AND GOD BLESS
I have been receiving my prescriptions from Garro's for 3 years. Some of these reviews on here are not accurate at all. This is by far a 5 star Pharmacy, Pharmacist and staff! It has that local feel to it and I always support small businesses because I own one. Garros, you will have my business for a long time to come.
BEST PLACE TO GET YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS CAW CAW
Horribly unethical, rude pharmacist. Paid him a lot of money out of pocket he wouldn't bill my insurance to compound heart medication for my daughter for almost a year. Came in for her January medicine, as we do every month, and he suddenly decided to stop compounding. No notice was ever provided. We had to scramble to find a new compounder. He deprived a young girl of her required heart medication for no reason at all. Also made it difficult to transfer the prescription once we found another compounder. Doesn't follow cleanliness and expiration industry standards. Go to Langdon's Apothecary in Whitesboro instead-- much cleaner and goes it of his way for you.
I saw your drier on route 12,today at 4:15 pm going south and he was almost lying down in the car with a smoking device in his mouth. I’m sure he couldn’t even see the road. Very unsafe!!!,
Did you know they lost their contract with fidelis cara because they buying bootleg freestyle diabetic strips from Canada and selling them to Medicaid clients.
A great hometown drugstore with a whole lot more
