I am a patient of Dr. Gary Ford’s through MLK. I’ve seen Dr. Ford about five times now, and he performed a septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery on me. Doctor Ford has changed my life. I was only able to breathe out of my nose a couple hours per day prior to my surgery. I understand the other comments about rude medical assistance or receptionists. But if you see or experience something wrong, you must speak up about it. or nothing will get done.
My appointment went smooth. Had an appointment at 9:20am, showed up 15 minutes early, signed in, my temperature was taken, and only waited approximately 10 minutes before I was in a room. A courteous nurse screened me and in a very short while I was seen by Dr Nobel who was very professional, courteous, and even better more informative.
I actually have had a good experience at this doctors office. My daughter sees the nurse practitioner and she’s very informative. It’s hard to get a hold of people in the office over the phone, but when I do they are helpful. They stay on top of my daughters condition and order tests and exams then print them out and show me exactly what I’m looking at. I appreciate that the np takes the time to talk with me and shows me exactly what she’s looking at. We have set appointments every 3 months but if anything is to happen I can always get in touch with the doctor. We have been going for over two years now.
I been here 2 times to see the Dr. and doctor wasn't there, the staff girl doesn't even smile, they got me a third appointment tosee the Dr. and had me waiting for 3 hours to tell me the Dr. wasn't there and the manager gave me a speech for like 15 min. Telling me the Dr. only sees patients that are in critical condition that needs surgical attention or things like that. So I agree to see the practitioner to get it over with. Then he comes back to tell me that he look at my file and said that actually the Dr. should see me. Then they made the appointment for the next day. Arrive the next day and had me waiting for an hour to tell me the Dr. had an emergency and couldn't get there. Very upset at this clinic over all!!
Worst doctor office I've been too. It has everything you expect in a bad doctor's office: rude careless staff, bad smell, dirty hallway, loooong waiting hours. The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 or zero if I could is because the doctor assistant, Dr. Nobel is genuinely caring and friendly and seems like he didn't belong to this bad office just because of how professional and caring he is.
One star is EXCEPTIONAL for this clinic and the "doctor". He removed my tonsils and adenoids, not because they really needed to be removed but because I asked if they were the cause of my sinus issues. Turned out that it wasn't necessary and he also cut my Uvula and now it doesn't dangle, which makes it weird to gargle. Wasted pain.
Please dont make an schedules in this place because they dont follow there schedule, if you are willing to wait for an hour or so this is your place to schedule. This pleace is really BAD SERVICE!!!! Eventhough u check in early the person check in after you is the one who go to the room first, can you imagine how sucks there service. OMG

I love this Doctor not the most friendliest person, but who cares the man knows what he's doing. A true professional. I had a dangerous surgery done piece of cake to him. Thankfully, Charleeda Ps I don't care if he's friendly what matters is he knows what he's doing and he did. And the staff was very friendly to me.
From the time I opened there door for my 4yr olds 1st visit and waiting 2hrs too see the very rude doctor and his rude staff, I will not be coming back here. Wouldn't trust them with my 4yr old, just not a cool place. I don't play around with my babies. Clearly everyone working here hates their job I cant even get them to fax me a doctor note for my sons school, told me I had to come back in....."NOT"
