Amazing place to chill and enjoy the day with family. They have a few benches to accommodate your family, but you also can bring yours, like when you go camping. The lake is amazing, but don't leave your kids unattended because there is no lifeguard on duty. Again, no lifeguard on duty, I can't stress this enough. If you feel adventurous, you can also rent a small inflatable boat to explore the lake.
The park is really clean, it has a lot of people flying kites. Buy some water before you go here because it's a big place and you probably would need to take a water break while walking. I suggest bringing some camping chair and snacks. Enjoy the warm weather by the water!
Cherry blossoms are incredibly amazing all over the city. Today, I enjoyed and had fun during my visit at the Gary Point Park. The gorgeous beauty of these flowers are in full bloom. The waterfront park is amazingly overlooking the Salish Sea. Hurry up, don’t miss the marvellous array of these flowers.
I really miss the sand dunes that used to be here but the trails are pretty nice. Wonderful views and a bit of history. Too bad that even though there are many information placards and monuments that there is no recognition of the indigenous people whose land this is. Time to work towards reconciliation.
Even on a grey day you can see infinity. Walking loop, washrooms, easily accessible parking, car charging station pilot. Open space. Marine traffic up close. Park food-concession in season.
Great place for picnic ane chill. Good beaches for kids castle. Swimming is not allowed as no life guard is on duty. Good for biking/cycling.
A great place to stroll. Easy walk with Fisherman's Wharf and Gulf of Georgia Cannery just nearby. Surely can spend a lot of time here with family. And the reflection on water is damn clean.
Famous place to see cherry blossoms in spring. It was full blooming on 2nd April,2022. Don’t miss a chance to see them. Nice accessible trails for walking or biking via West Dyke Trail.
Wow what a place to see during spring season. You can get nice pictures for yourself and the family. Dog friendly park and have a nice walk spending time together. I visit this park every year first week or second week of April during full bloom on sunny days.
One of 4 parks in which you can have a BBQ! No open fires or charcoal, but propane grills ok. Great for large groups, but parking can be difficult if you don't arrive early in the morning or later in the evening. I went around 5 and someone was just leaving a spot in the lot when I got there! Note to self: bring a kite next time.
