Gary Wenkle Smith began his schooling at California State University San Bernardino, receiving his B.A. in Pyschology in 1970. After that, Mr. Smith attended the La Verne School of Law from 1975-1978 receiving his Juris Doctor Degree. While in law school, he was the Editor in Chief of Law Review. This is a very prestigious and important position only given to students with the highest academic achievements. After graduating from La Verne, Mr. Smith began his work as an attorney in 1979 in his hometown of San Bernardino. During this time, he have received numerous achievements and awards for his work in the community and his support for youth athletics. It is important to Gary Wenkle Smith that he continue his legal education. That is why to this day he still regularly attends seminars and retreats taught by some of the brightest criminal defense minds in the country, including his dear friend and one of the greatest lawyers of all time, Gerry Spence.
